If you are planning to get married abroad with a very small group of family and friends, you could involve everyone in your special day by hosting a welcome back party to remember!
Here are a few organisation tips:
Choose a place easy for everyone to reach. Send out invitations well in advance, asking people to RSVP months before you leave for your wedding abroad. Set the date of the party about two weeks after you come back from your honeymoon.
Do keep it informal, it should be a relaxed party. An occasion for you to celebrate with the people that weren’t able to join you on the day of your actual wedding.
When you are abroad, buy local gifts to give to your guests as favours. Consider decoration ideas and a food menu that remind you of the location where you celebrated the actual wedding. Theme your drinks as well and have plenty of Italian Prosecco!
Such as an opera singer, or a group that sings Italian traditional music. You may also want to hire an Italian chef that can prepare a fancy Tiramisu in front of all the guests; or a couple of Italian barmen that can serve Bellinis all night long...
Consider projecting pictures or a video of your destination wedding as well as your honeymoon so that all your guests can share your memories with you.
