Romantic wedding in Torri Del Benaco with the Koinè String Quartet

Torri del Benaco is one of the most appreciated destination weddings of Lake Garda thanks to the romantic frame of the Castello Scaligero and the picturesque little port on the lake. In this fabulous scene that Mercedes and Eugene, a young English couple celebrated its wedding: from the team of Italian Lakes Wedding we were represented by the musicians of the Koinè String Quartet that ensured the perfect musical background of the event with their rich repertoire of classical music.

We show you here some pictures of this romantic wedding thanks to the images of the photographer GUIDO PELLATI, from the Pellati Photographic Studio of Bardolino.
The wedding of Mercedes and Eugene was celebrated in the shadow of the huge lemon plants of the Limonaia (Lemon Groves) of the Castello Scaligero, one of the last citrus fruit greenhouses still functioning on Lake Garda, since 1760.

Few days ago, we received a kind letter from Don and Jean, lovely parents of Mercedes, saying once again thanks to the team of Italian Lakes Wedding and the Koinè String Quartet for the great success of the event. Here you can read their kind words:
It hardly seems possible that two weeks have passed since we were with you in Italy – and we have so many wonderful memories of that special occasion! We wanted to place on record our sincere thanks to you and the musicians for providing such excellent support and for taking so much trouble to seek out and play the music we requested. It was, in fact, exactly as we had hoped – with the music setting the right atmosphere for each part of the ceremony. We could not have wished for a better service than the one you provided.
Our daughter, Mercedes and her husband, Eugene, join us in this expression of thanks – and we would be happy, of course, to recommend your musicians to any others who may be planning a similar event.
Best wishes.
Don and Jean Steele.

As we promised, Alessandro Ambrosetti photographer put on disposal full Sandra and Mirko’s wedding PHOTO GALLERY, the wedding where I worked as floral designer. In today’s post I’m pleased to show you some of the photos I just love.

I start with this wonderful shot taken inside Castello di Miasino, the venue bride and groom choose for their reception. A perfect combination of elements: bright chandelier and the big coat of arms on the wall behind loving bride and groom. This is for sure a first prize photograph! Very good Alessandro Ambrosetti!

Maria-Assunta-Church-Orta

Sandra and Mirko are a young italian-german couple who choose Lake Orta as their wedding destination. Religious ceremony was held in Orta San Giulio village inside the lovely church of Maria Assunta. Bride opted for a classical floral arrangement choosing just a main flower: big Lilyum Longiflorum with simple Aspidistra leaves and Gypsophila.

Following bride’s wishes, I created for Sandra’s bouquet: a round and compact shape using Avalanche roses without any other greenery except for Gypsophila on the basis. Just a trendy style, what brides are looking for, now. Thanks to beautiful day, after the ceremony Sandra and Mirko took a walk in tiny Orta village roads and lakeshore, the perfect frame for magic wedding pictures.

Orange was the main color for the reception to Castello di Miasino. A solar and happy color, one of the most requested for summer 2009. I created glass cubes centerpieces with floating roses and gel crystals, adding some spread orange rose petals on the tables. Continue Reading »

The Palace of the Town Hall – to celebrate your civil wedding – is in the heart of the old city center, just next to the lovely small port, giving a special frame to your forever love promise to each other. Or do you prefer a catholic ceremony? The little roman church of San Nicolò with frescos from the 3rd century is just on the other side of the port, in direct closeness of the central square. Then to complete the picture of the enchanting environment, the Town Hall just put at the disposal the historical building of the Venetian Customs, only few steps from the Town Hall, that now can be used also for wedding receptions. From here that Venice controlled for long centuries the commerce on the Lake Garda, but now the medieval building hides a brand new interior design, offering a really special set for a very exclusive reception for your guests. The structure includes two large modular areas, which can host 350 people overall, and is characterized by a typical Venetian construction, with a larch truss roof of ancient origins, and two arches facing the lake forming a usable open space for an open-air aperitif before the wedding dinner, to enjoy the great view of the lake with the small romantic port in front. The excellent fusion of this fantastic monumental setting with cutting-edge technologies has made this renewed multifunctional centre one of the most elegant, exclusive events venues in the province of Verona.
