Wonderful Anne is French from Paris and handsome Alan is from Ireland. They live in Ireland and they choose Orta for their special day because of its romanticism quaintness! In these two years Anne had a lovely baby boy and elder sister Mina grew up to be a wonderful flower girl together with other Anne’s girls.

During these months Anne studied all little details of the wedding focusing her attention side of the venue and other important issues, to her girls dresses, wedding dress, flowers and stationery.
Wonderful wedding stationery was studied and made by herself keeping in mind dreamy vintage Alice in Wonderland style.

Have a look to little sugared almonds favors box with Eat Me written on, to the menus and to the cake topper and to the names cards. Aren’t they just oneiric, vintage and natural? They perfectly match the location which is natural, romantic quaint and blooming.

But let’s have a look to Anne’s amazing wedding dress. We know that a wedding dress could be one of the most important detail for a bride. A bride could spend months finding the right one or it could be love at first sight just like for Anne was. The wedding dress perfectly matched her style. Anne chose famous Claire Pettibone as her stylist for the dress of her dreams.

The Washington Post hails Claire Pettibone’s collection as “proof positive that bridal fashion is keeping up with the runway”…
The Los Angeles Times calls her a “Style maven”… brides across the globe are enamored with the designer’s creations, just like Anne did and Say Yes to the Dress’s Randy Fenoli confirms, “Claire has a cult following.”

Ever since launching her eponymous brand with her husband Guy Toley in 1994 following graduation from Otis Parsons with a degree in fashion design, Claire Pettibone, the self-described “true romantic” has emerged as the designer for which romance takes on a vintage yet modern je ne sais quoi. Her talent for conjuring up such uncommonly beautiful and ethereal sensations is her trademark, and underlies the “world of Claire” – a fashion house that has grown from luxury lingerie to include couture bridal, fashion lingerie, and inspired casual wear. I like to take her on a journey to another time and place, so when I create a collection, it always has an emotional, ethereal quality, and I think that’s what resonates with my clients.” And about Anne’s Lalique gown she adds: “The sinuous lines of the Art Nouveau movement are epitomized by the master jewelry designers Lalique, Vever and Fouquet. These artists incorporated natural motifs of flowers, vines and nature in their jewelry, which served as rich inspiration for the Lalique gown. Pure cotton voile and French embroidered tulle with silk flowers trailing down from the bodice are combined in an organic nod to nature’s beauty.”

Claire Pettibone has been the recipient of worldwide recognition and press, including being named the exclusive designer for “Married on MySpace’s” premiere season (her episode alone garnering more than one million views), and featured in TNT’s premiere season of “Wedding Day” produced by Mark Burnett.

Els is a wonderful happy and smiling person so she decided she wanted a happy wedding with an happy theme based on green and happy sunflowers to match it.
Just have a look to great job Monika from La Piccola Selva did for Els’ bouquet. A joyful explosion of sunflowers and cream roses. It was exactly what Els wanted.
The choice Els took for her dress was not common at all…
You can admire her pretty dress in following pictures, it is made with a beautiful light green taffeta.

The term taffeta comes from the Persian words for “twisted” and “woven,” which suggests that this fabric probably originated around this region, or that it was introduced to Europeans through Persia, a major stop along European and Asian trade routes. This fabric usually has a very tight weave, and the weave is plain. Taffeta is famous for being very stiff and crisp, generating rustling sounds when people move in it. The fabric is also very soft and smooth to the touch, and it has a famously lustrous and glimmery appearance.
This is what Els loved about that and she wanted to add a visible tulle skirt under it to make it even prettier!

Neckline was decorated with very pretty taffeta roses that somehow matched Els lovely bouquet.
Greenery in the bouquet perfectly matched the shades of the dress and sunflower add a touch of happiness to all.
As final touch of elegance Els enriched the dress with a touch of bronze in her shoes and in the pretty shoes she had on.

After an intimate ceremony to Villa Bossi in the heart of Orta Village the small intimate group had a lovely tour of the lake on a pretty motorboat to reach at the end St Julius Island.
Els an Jurgen chose for their dinner the enchanting rooms of the restaurant with frescoes on the celing and a stunning view on the lake!

Pastel color of Els dress matched perfectly the atmosphere of the restaurant to make the intimate event very Italian and elegant.

Els and Jurgen had some lovely pictures in quaint roads of St. Julius Island to remember this amazing and day on Lake Orta… and had an extra gift… an extraordinary rainbow on the lake.
A sweet day for a sweet couple…..

Our wedding was more than we could ever wish. It was more than we could ever imagine!

As floral designer I really appreciated bride’s approach towards me. Even if she gave me precise information on her color scheme, she totally trusted me giving me wide freedom on style and shapes for her floral arrangement. This gave me the opportunity to express myself without being to tight on fixed schemes. I believe that for a floral designer is could be the best way to create and express her skills.

Chiara and Stefano’s big day was arranged on Lake Maggiore. Photographers Manuele and Laurence of Studio Foto Benaglia followed the days with their pictures. The followed the group from the early hours of the day until very late at night. This great italian-french couple of photographer realized a lovely natural and spontaneous reportage service taking every single detail of the day. From Veneto to Piemonte region: Chiara and Stefano reached Lake Maggiore from Treviso in Veneto region, just like at least half of their guests. Chiara was born in Arona and her heart was set here and Stefano fell in love with this lovely town too. So they opted for Lake Maggiore for their destination wedding. All guests loved this choice they did not know how beautiful could be our magic lake.

Chiara choose red for her wedding theme color. Deep red for flowers, invitations, and wedding shoes. Cherry red for a fantastic organza roses fall on her wedding dress. A very original dress for sure! Chiara designed it and she could realize it thanks to the help of Rosanna, the owner of a little atelier in Feltre on foot of Belluno Dolomites.
The shoulder cover, bustier and part of the skirt were mad of laces with plisse’ tulle. Main feature was roses fall in cherry red that started from waist point to create a little train.
Simply wonderful!

Groom opted for a tailor made suit, too. He was surely elegant and handsome.

Chaira and Stefano got married on October 10 on a wonderful warm day similar to summer time. Religious ceremony was held in Santi Martiri Church in Arona, also known as San Graziano church. Church is located in highest part of the town and has a baroque facade and Gothic nave inside. One of the most beautiful detail is the lovely staircase that from San Graziano square leads to church’s entrance.

Floral arrangement was really detailed. On side of aisle red carpet I placed a series of balloon shaped Buxus enriched with red roses and white Gerberas. I also added scattered rose petals on the floor and little bouquets on the pews.

On white marble balusters I created different height arrangements, just in the middle between ancient and modern style. On a white Gerberas and Monstera leaves base I placed Passion Roses on different levels and on side of them I added some Bear Grass.

Wonderful Passion Roses were on long Chiara’s bouquet. I also added bear grass and most of all some ivy and Beucarnea to give an accent to falling effect of the arrangement. As final touch I inserted a cherry red ribbon using same fabric of bridal dress.

After the ceremony Chiara and Stefano left for the reception on a vintage Corvette to reach Grand Hotel Bristol in Stresa.

Before reaching their guests they took a romantic walk on lake side in Stresa where Laurence and Manuele photographers had the occasion to take wonderful shots collecting great images. You can see some of them here. Click here to see complete photogallery.

Table chart to Grand Hotel Bristol was original too. On a floral base I added some red hearts on several levels. I attached on them tables names using lovely butterfly shaped pins.

The party ended with the great four tiers cake made of hundreds of Chantilly cream bignè with strawberries, blackberries and red berries.

As floral designer I can say that it was a real pleasure for me having the occasion to work on Chiara and Stefano’s wedding. Such a nice couple! One of the best wedding of 2009 on Lake Maggiore.

• What do you think about the new trendy Winter Wedding?
  I think that is a pleasant solution for bridegrooms that want an emotional wedding.
  Winter light is smooth deeply emotional full of intimate suggestions.
  Every decoration can be studied in every single detail and there are much more availability of venues and creative assistance.
• Can you explain us your Fall/Winter collection? It is sophisticated and very feminine…
  I wished realizing a gown collection that would be smooth and light with embroideries that gently lay on wiggly fabrics. The true innovative issue is on accessories, the real central characters of the collection. There are many new proposals: organza matching boleros with ruches and voile or georgettes to dress up gowns adding a touch or charm and romanticism. There are also plumes and furs on the stoles and veils enriched by laces with modern and inedited tailor cuts. Moreover you will see details for practical but elegant hair solutions to complete bride’s style of next collection preview 2008-2009.
• We noticed that your winter collection is very versatile; even if the gowns have a clear winter connotation they could be worn in every other season…
  I’d say that this is a special dedication to the eternal seasons of love…Cold is a personal circumstance; emotion of style is my mission.
• What will be next Spring Summer collection style?
  For Spring 2008 I propose my new satin wiggly lines with transparencies and charming details such as necklines and bijoux. The romantic part is filled of fabric particulars such as laces, tulles, taffetas for elegant gowns, the “new traditional” for the bride who likes cathedral style.
• What is the most requested colour for Domo Adami bride?
  Natural silk colour is certainly the most wanted. There are some brides that ask for a gown with a steady colour to be discrete and elegant…but what a satisfaction!
• How do you choose fabrics?
  I smell the perfume of the fabric. I touch it and I feel creative vibration that woof suggests…. Matching harmony is a joy that I identify and love. This is how a Domo Adami dress born.
• In your collections we can appreciate a clear preference for full dresses…
  In my traditional couture experience there is the need to dress up bride personality with a full dress, a more sophisticated and elegant solution that prove bride’s confidence that you won’t perceive with a petticoat and a skirt.
  In this case there is the theatrical artistic component that explains fast and vivid accents of French tradition like two different personalities.
• We noticed that veil came back on stage, how bride should wear it?
  It has to be coordinated with the gown. There is no need to exaggerate with inapt lengths and laces. Veil gives bride a secure appeal at the ceremony but she has to leave it out before sitting at the table.
• Long or short veil?
  Always coordinated with the gown according to bride’s body built, church and context proportions.
• Make up and hair play an important role. What will you suggest to Domo Adami bride?
  To be oneself! But have an elegant make up on. Professional make up artist know how to give charming lights and shadows to the eyes according to ordinary habits of the girl but with some accents for a unique and one-time party.
• What about accessories? Which are the best solutions for your brides?
  Many and always fine. I saw a lot of brides that simply want everything choosing solutions that are not elegant at the end. A bride can do everything she wants but only a wise advice can suggest a stylish result.
• How will you define DOMO ADAMI bride?
  Joyful being natural and beautiful, elegant for her feelings and rich in her personality.
