Susie had three wonderful lime green dressed bridesmaids with a small pink roses bouquet. For her own one Susie decided for a scented white freesias bouquet by La Piccola Selva floral designers in Orta.
Scottish pipe accompaigned the entrance of the bride. Pipe was played by a great female musician, Susie’s friend!

After the ceremony the group reached Ustaria Ca Dal Rat for a wonderful dinner by the shores.

Our bride to be and groom to be first met some years ago in US where they both come from.
It was 28 of March, brides’ birthday and so for sure a special day.
It soon become even more special because these two hearts met and recognized to be both half of the same thing!

An year after, same day our groom to be and our bride to be got engaged, again n our bride’s birthday and this day became once again even more special.
What date could they choose for their wedding?
Same day an year after!

And so three years ago our bride and groom got married with a lovely and intimate ceremony in US where they live.

Isn’t it romantic?
But this is not just about a date!
Talking with our bride I realized how big is this love and how much could mean for this wonderful couple. Once in a year, stop and think about the meaning of their life together, their love and their fortune.
In every day life we have not enough time to think about how lucky we could be finding Mr or Mrs Right, and express our thankful feeling in a romantic way.
We travel, we work, we are stressed and tired but we should take some think once in a year to think about this.
This is more or less what our bride told me when I was walking with her by Lake Orta. A wise and deep thought that everyone should always remember!

To recall their special day this romantic couple decided to celebrate in a special year our bride’s birthday, engagement and wedding anniversary with a renewal of their vows.
They renewed their vows in Las Vegas in front of an Elvis singing for them, how fun! They did it again in Paris on top of Eiffel Tower, so romantic. And for this year they chose Lake Orta!
We have been honored to host this special day here, I was honored to be their planner and pleased to meet such lovely people!

After a lovely make up and hair do our bride was ready to meet our groom in the narrow roads of Orta village for some lovely shots.

Last year was an Irish couple Siobhan and Stuart to open the wedding season. This year is an Italian couple’s turn: Maria and Marco.

Maria and Marco got married on Orta San Giulio on Lake Orta.
A vintage wedding! Groom wore an elegant tuxedo with top hat, white shoes and walking stick.

What about the bride? She was beautiful in her white dress with little lilac details. She arrived to Assunta Church on a fairy tale white horses carriage! A scenic entrance for sure!

After the ceremony bride and groom reached Orta main square with the cart for many pictures on the lake!
Then they reached Hotel San Rocco where they ad a lovely welcome cocktail and reception to follow!

An unconventional wedding for Charlotte and Steve. A real Happy Hour Wedding with touring aperitif on Lake Orta.

Try to imagine for your wedding a boat on the lake, cruising from Orta to St. Julius Island, Pella and Lido di Gozzano. Then North up to Pettanasco and Omegna.
A mini cruise that could be also a special occasion to let your guests discovering real Lake Orta. You could admire wild nature on North West shores with herons and Acqualba falls, and then historical villas facing the lake surrounded by wonderful wonderful parks.

Cruising reception could be ideal for young and dynamic couples who want to surprise their guests and have fun also breaking the stress of a traditional wedding.

Navigazione Lago d’Orta has two ferries that could be wonderful reception venues:
• Ferry boat Ortensia is the main boat.
  It is 24 meters long and it can host up to 290 people. It has two decks.
  A deck is indoors with bar and the other is outdoor. From here you can admire a wonderful view and taking stunning wedding pictures!
  It could be the ideal ferry for 100-120 guests maximum.
• From this month (March 2012) there will be Ferry Valentina a second boat ideal for smaller events with 40-50 guests maximum.
  Valentina is a historical boat that used to be in Torino on Rover Po. Thanks to restyling made by Piero Ravizza, Valentina boat is coming back on waters… this time on Lake Orta!

• You could have all your guests on a single boat with all comforts (toilettes, bar, heating system, tv, microphone for speeches).

There was no other choice as the famous Villa Balbianello for the elegant and festive wedding dinner in the evening. A white gazebo, one of the best caterer Food Couture, well known musicians from Germany and the United States were organized, a piano was transported to the peninsula, as well as millions of flowers and decoration for the tables, the bar, the wedding cake and so on.

The atmosphere was elegant and festive, but not too formal. The brides dress was a haute couture fashion piece from a designer in Germany. So the flowers had to adopt that festive but not too overdressed style, therefore we choose white flowers in various shades, sometimes with a touch of a light pink or better to say ros�.

The gazebo had lots of spaces, even when filed with 12 tables each places 8-9 guests. So we used cristall glass chandeliers hanging from the tuffed ceiling and very high standing candelabras filled with flowers on the top. Mixed with small tea lights on the bottom. Even the church was not overloaded with flowers, just some highlights in very light colours creating elements that did not interfere with the general inside of the church in Cadenabbia.

The wedding day was planned exactly down to minutes and we worked with a team of 4 planners and hostesses to guarantee that all worked out as stated in the day programme. What a wonderful day and how tired we were when we got into bed at around 4 am in the morning, tired but very satisfied.

Britta Hartmann-De Marchi is german and therefore the specialist for German, Austrian and Swiss couples coming to the lake Region for getting married.

She herself got married 10 years ago and choose an Italian husband. Enjoying to live here in Bella Italia and coming from 14-years-experience in international advertising and marketing, she liked to change her job into becoming organizer of weddings for german-(and english-) speaking people coming to Italy for their marriage.

Coming from Germany and knowing what to expect in Italy, she is the perfect organizer between bride and groom and the Italian service partners. Correctness, flexibility and a easy hand to plan all details around a wedding make her work very appreciated.

The most emotional part is, when I become almost the best friend of the bride during all the planning time you share with each other. So we both do enjoy the wedding day in its best form and this is important for my work.

Es gab keine bessere Wahl als die traumhafte Villa Balbianello, um dort ein schönes Festdinner zu veranstalten. Es wurde alles dafür organisiert, ein weisses Gazebo, eine der besten Caterer Food Couture, bekannte Musiker aus Deutschland und Amerika, sogar ein Flügel wurde auf die Halbinsel transportiert. Dazu ein Meer von Blumen und Dekoration für die Tische, die Bar, die 3-stöckige Hochzeitstorte und so weiter.

Die zu schaffende Atmosphäre sollte elegant und festlich sein, aber nicht zu steif. Das Hochzeitskleid der Braut kam von einem kleinen aber feinen Designer aus Deutschland. Daher wählten wir einen Mix aus weissen Blumen in verschiedenen Schattierungen und unterschiedlichen Blütenkopf-Grössen, manchmal mit einem Hauch von zartem Rosa vermischt.

Der Gazebo war grossräumig und so wurde die getuffte Decke mit Kristall-Lüstern verziert und auf den 12 Tischen mit sehr hochstämmigen Kandelabern gearbeitet, die im oberen Bereich mit Blumen aufgefüllt wurden. Darunter nochmals kleine Kerzen in Gläsern und Rosenblätter zur Auflockerung.
Auch Kirche in Cadenabbia wurde nicht mit Blumen überladen, nur einige helle Highlights gekonnt in Szene gesetzt, um nicht mit dem schon etwas barocken Interieur zu konkurrieren.

Der Hochzeitstag war genau durchgeplant und wir haben mit 4 Planern und Hostessen den Tag verfolgt, damit alles so wie gewünscht klappte. Was für ein wundervoller Tag; wir fielen dann müde aber doch sehr zufrieden gegen 4h ins Bett.
