We arranged the civil wedding at the historique townhall called Villa Bossi. The civil wedding takes place outside in the beautiful garden. With the sun shining so nicely, a blue sky, we all waited for the arrival of the beautiful bride Louise. She came with her father in a rowing boat and was welcomed by her 2 bridesmaids before she walked down the natural path which suited as an aisle like in a church.
Happily both said yes in the right moment, our interpreter Irmi was much more in tears then bride and groom!

Look at her beautiful bouquet that was prepared by our preferred florist La Piccola Selva. Same colors and shape for the bridesmaids and lots of white and pink rose petals for the newly weds.

After the ceremony we had 2 boats fetching us and bring us over to the island San Giulio. On the terrace of the small restaurant San Giulio we had a toast with Prosecco and typical Italian fingerfood.

Only after a relaxing stay there we proceeded on with the boat along the coastline with wonderful views on lots of historique villas of noble people. Just to be in time for an welcome drink at the Ca dal Rat, a charming trattoria with good local food.

Here again we repeated the color code of white and pink for flowers and the table decoration. A cage pinned to a tree indicated the seating plan. Everybody enjoyed the good food and the attentive service. And our dj had the good music to create a very festive atmosphere.

How bad that at midnight we had to go back on the boats and return to Orta village. But there awaiting another highlight from our part, we let flew the skylanterns. These are coming from Japan and will transport all best wishes for Louise and Robert into the nightly sky – so they will come true.

Britta Hartmann-De Marchi is german and therefore the specialist for German, Austrian and Swiss couples coming to the lake Region for getting married.

She herself got married 10 years ago and choose an Italian husband. Enjoying to live here in Bella Italia and coming from 14-years-experience in international advertising and marketing, she liked to change her job into becoming organizer of weddings for german-(and english-) speaking people coming to Italy for their marriage.

These features make Villa Rocchetta a unique venue for your wedding on Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta areas. It is also close to one of most evocative Italian churches: Eremo (Hermitage) of St. Caterina del Sasso.

Villa Rocchetta is located between Ispra and Ranco on Lombardy side of Lake Maggiore. It is easily reachable from Milan and Varese (from Autostrada dei Laghi – Sesto Calende Exit) and just few minutes drive from Malpensa International Airport.

Villa Rocchetta is on Quassa Gulf and it is part of a country property along Lake Maggiore shores between Ranco and Ispra little towns.

Secular park of Villa Roccheeta is 30 hectares wide and it is part of Natural Park of Quassa Gulf, a real natural oasis with groves of reeds, erratic rocks, herons and rare Osmunda Regalis a special lake fern. The park has also is very important from the historical point of view. In 1276 the area was the setting of Guazzera Battle between Visconti and Torriani. This was one of the most heinous battle to dominate Milan and its territories at that time.

Villa Rocchetta has been built during 1930s to enhance the amazing natural contexts where its is located. It has been built between a big erratic rock and the lake. The villa was studied to bring out the view on the lake and Piemonte Alps behind it. Just in front of the villa you could admire Piemonte Lake coast with Lesa, Belgirate, further Pallanza, Intra and the mountain peaks of Zeda and Laurasca. On the right you will see Lombardy lake coast with its Santa Caterina del Sasso church rock.

Inside Villa Rocchetta the atmosphere is embellished by wonderful pictures, carpets, antiques and its rooms can host up to 120 guests.

The bright main room of the villa has a rich walnut boiserie of 1700 and faces the lake and the amazing park.

Red room is smaller and more intimate and it has a lovely marble fireplace.

The Portico can be closed during winter time with big windows to create a pretty winter-garden veranda.

During summer you could arrange an amazing party outdoor in park letting your guests enjoy the stunning atmosphere of the park and Lake Maggiore.

They both came from United States and chose to celebrate their special day on Lake Como a real dream!
They enjoyed the whole day, from ceremony to final dancing party, in this gorgeous villa, a wonderful setting to make this day even more special.
The villa has a wide terraced garden that allow you the possibility to personalize it as you prefer on a special day like your wedding could be.

Jennifer and Theodore exchanged their marriage vows on a big terrace. Mountains sprang from the waters offering a perfect and romantic background for the ceremony.
Jennifer reached her moved groom walking on a soft aisle covered with petals and then, under a gorgeous arch full of red coral flowers, they promised each other eternal love.

After the ceremony they took wonderful pictures on another part of the terrace, which gives a different, but absolutely amazing, point of view of the lake.

The aperitif and light cocktail was served on a green meadow among secular trees giving the chance to bride and groom to mingle with their guests.
After that the group reached area of the garden arranged for the dinner.

Every wedding has a theme and Jennifer and Theodore chose a really original one!
They decided to put on each table a bowl with two goldfishes inside to represent their love and Theodore’s passion for fishing. A sweet and lovely idea!

The dinner buffet was delighted by a band, that emphasized with romantic music the most touching moments of the evening, like the cake cut or the dance between the groom and his mother.

The venue continued cheerfully till late night with wild dances and many toasts!!

And then the two goldfishes Jennifer and Theodore left the party to finally start their lives as Husband and Wife!

Cat is Russian and Reza is Persian and they live together in London.
Some time ago, visiting Italian Lakes Wedding pages, they were so fascinated by Janet and Ian’s wedding, planned by our team, that they decided that they would love to have a similar incredibly fascinating event.

Talented photographer Carlo Guido Conti was there for them to shoot Cat and Reza’s big day. You surely appreciated his wonderful photo session for Nick and Chris at Villa Rusconi on Lake Maggiore. With regard to this, we anticipate you that we will soon come back on Lake Maggiore together with Carlo Conti, this time going till Locarno, in Switzerland, for another amazing wedding, Georg and Kiki’s one.

Cat and Reza got married in a wonderful day of mid September. Bride’s arrival was really fabulous: on a carriage towed by white horses!

As for Janet and Ian, Cat and Reza’s ceremony took place on Villa’s meadow between the lake and the wonderful mosaic staircase that leads to the location’s upper area: a dream setting, made even more romantic by a string quartet playing sweet melodies on the background.

For their ceremony, bride and groom chose an elegant floral arrangement: roses and white lisianthus. For bride’s and bridesmaids’ bouquet, Cat opted for bright colours, with pretty eye-catching little Callas and yellow Cymbidium orchids.

At the end of ceremony, Cat and Reza enjoyed the unique scenario of the gardens of the villa where Carlo Guido Conti took his awesome pictures: images from a dream, that will last forever as an unforgettable memory of their Big Day.

As for Janet and Ian, the reception took place in the amazing Sala delle Colonne at Villa d’Este, in front of the lake. The centrepieces had the same bouquet colour and style, but were adorned with branches of contorted hazel arranged like branched candlesticks, with a lot of little candles. Really original!

The party reached its climax with the cut of a big wedding cake, which stood against the wonderful nocturnal view of Lake Como.
And last, but not least, everybody danced till late night in villa’s disco!

They surely had a certain taste for lovely and good things and places so they opted for a wonderful wedding on Lake Como.

Everything was planned to be perfect!
We start from bride’s getting ready at Villa d’Este, the wonderful hotel famous all over the world with stunning view on the lake shores.
And we will end with the party in an amazing private villa near Cernobbio.
But let’s go step by step.

Nick and Joss decided to celebrate their special ceremony in lovely church in Cadenabbia just on the Como Lake’s shores. Here they soaked in a magical and romantic atmosphere created by wonderful floral decorations, white candles and the bright and warm colours of walls, together with a stunning red lacunar ceiling.

After the ceremony, a pleasant and cheerful boat trip led the newlyweds and their guests to the reception venue: an ancient villa with a big terraced garden that overlooks the lake!

This amazing villa gives the chance to choose the setting of your reception: inside, among old marvellous decorations that enrich its big and ancient rooms, or the outdoor space “breathing” the romantic lake atmosphere.
Joss and Nick opted for this option!

They were blessed with a wonderful day, so the guests were able to enjoy the outdoors, gazing the breathtaking panorama during dinner and revealing in the cool lake breeze while dancing.

At the end of the party a white convertible Rolls Royce waited for the newlyweds. An original way to say good-bye to their guests and throw the Kate Middleton style bouquet to the girls!

It was a very special wedding.
First of all because of the date: the same of Kate and William’s wedding, and then for the venues they chose for their staying!

The newlywed, in fact, spent their holiday and got ready in Villa d’Este.
A really exclusive and relaxing place to spend your time while waiting the fateful moment to come!

The ceremony and the wedding reception took place in a magnificent private villa in Cernobbio, that was decorated in a superb way for the occasion.
The big terrace overlooking Lake Como, was covered by real grass and wonderful floral decorations, with a big huppah in the center, full of white flowers and candles.

Guests were welcome by an unusual cocktail before the ceremony. An original way to host friends and relatives waiting for the bride to come.

And then “the moment” came. The bride, beautiful in her precious vintage dress of a famous designer, arrived to say “I will” to her thrilled groom.

After the ceremony the wedding reception took place in an elegant gala marquee.
Here, after happy games and dancing guided by international deejays, the newlyweds and their guests could enjoy a very exclusive show: the famous singer In-grid sang only for them, in order to make the atmosphere even happier and festive.

And finally, gorgeous fireworks sparkled in the sky to celebrate this day and illuminate the coming of a wonderful four-tiered wedding cake.

What else could ask a bride to make her marriage absolutely unforgettable?

Church of Assunta was decorated with wonderful cream and purple flowers to match prune theme Sally chose. As usual Paola and Monika from La Piccola Selva creations are wonderful!
Sally decided to arrive walking to the church with her bridesmaids and flower girls!

After the ceremony a lovely boat tour for the guests and a special visit to St. Julius Island for Sally and Tom.
Party was held in a pretty restaurant outside Orta.
They begun with a late lunch and went on until night with dances, good wine and good food!
What a day!

They decided to hold their ceremony in a warm Mediterranean summer in a very special location of Villa Cortine. This is an ancient villa located near the center of little town of Sirmione, a delightful Italian spot, famous for its peculiarity. It is situated in the middle of Lake Garda!
Sirmione and its surroundings is just the perfect scenario to enjoy medieval Italian culture, craftsmanship and fashion habits while filling eyes of nature’s beauty and without having to worry about noise and cars.

Villa Cortine sits upon the hill in the heart of such stunning peninsula, which was rendered immortal by the lyrics of Roman poet Catullo, and dominates the entire basin of Lake Garda.
A centennial park of rare essences and fragrant bushes surround the neo classic style villa built in 1870 by an Austrian nobleman Kurt von Koseritz, officer of art and Italian culture.
The wide park is embellished with nine different fountains and a main one, called Neptune. It greets guests at their entrance just wonderful! At the far end guests can either enjoy Lake Garda’s clear waters or sun bath on the pier of the villa. But Paul and Annette chose this venue also for the superb frescoes and interiors of the palace were precious marbles, byzantine stuccoes and polychromatic decor executed by Brera Academy revive the splendour of the past and delights adults and child.

This beautiful setting is the backdrop to the emotion of the preparations enhanced by a love message from the groom to the bride.

Very lucky indeed was their little daughter that could fill her young eyes with the finest Italian art. She was a very pretty little valet of the wedding, much in tone with the elegant sobriety of the location, her silky dress matching the interiors of the villa.

For Irish family this is still a very important institution and in Paul and Annette photos we can see a tender love emanating between the couple and their daughter, who was actively involved in the preparation of her parents’ wedding.

Ceremony started: a symbolic gathering was prepared in the huge park of the villa. The blooming garden, the typical bright blue sky of Italian summers and the light dresses made the participants of the event appear like light butterflies sharing a moment of grace. Paul’s and Annette’s vows were pronounced in a dream like setting, and this memory will be the most treasured of all.

Quite a peculiarity was the high number of best men and maids of honor! Guys looked very formal in their white shirts and creamy trousers…

But… could not resist and show off a pair of crazy socks whit the word CRIMINAL knitted on them! Worn also by the groom himself!

The lovely girls instead could show off loose white dresses that let shoulders by kissed by the lovely Italian sun, with full attention, they watched the ceremony while fluttering their lacy fans in this warm Italian summer day.

As a further statement of their love, they crossed their cricket bats to symbolize their union and took a picture of it. In fact both Paul and Annette are cricket players and estimators. May their love have sprung from cricket grounds?

After the ultimate yes, the tension is loosened and gave way to joy and fun.

And then guests awaited in the hall of the villa the married couple to wish them good luck and start the celebration.

When the dancing started the most happy of all was Paul’s and Annette’s daughter that delightfully could start swirling at the centre of the hall together with her mum in the most perfect Irish dancing tradition! And with all that space available, we are sure they had all the fun that a day like this deserves.

We agree with the young lady in the last photo that Paul’s and Annette’s wedding was really a fine one, the kind that every couple deserves in their most important day!

A very special thank goes to Photo27, official photographers of the event how did a great job! All details and special moments of the day will remain forever in their special pictures. We are sure Annette and Paul loved their service as we also did!

Young photographer from Novara followed Claudia and Simone photo service and with his great style he created a fresh, bright and spontaneous work!

After the ceremony held in Santa Maria Assunta – Carpignano Sesia close to Novara, bride and groom and their guests reached Villa Ortea where a rich buffet on the terrace was waiting for them.

Just a little time with their guests for a little aperitif and then Claudia and Simone took some time for themselves on a motorboat for an amazing tour on the lake. Photographer and videomaker were with them.

The day was sunny and bright as a day of end of the Spring on the Lake could be. Claudia and Simone had some joyful relax that Leandro Biasco took in his pictures perfectly!

At their arrival back to Villa Ortea all their guests were waiting for them in the feast room that can host up to 250 guests. A unique place on Lake Orta and Lake Maggiore.

Lilac was the color that Claudia chose for her wedding. It matched perfectly the walls of Villa Orta feast room.
Table chart has been made with white branches and little lilac tags with names of the tables an guests.

All tables had lilac table clothes and napkins and had on amazing elegant centerpieces.
Cake cut has been arranged on the terrace overlooking the lake with a great choreography in lilac and white.

Villa Orta has a wonderful park that surrounds it. It is the perfect scenery for other wedding pictures. It has lots of different species of plants and a romantic waterfall in the rocks.

The party ended with music, dances and Limbo and Caribbean dances.
It was such a great fun dancing the Limbo passing under the beam without falling or touching it!

We come back to you speaking about Victoria and Richar’s wedding thanks to Enrico Mocci, the photographer bride and groom chose for their day.

Victoria and Richard are a lovely couple came from UK and as often all decorations were decided via email. I had the pleasure to meet Victoria only few days before the wedding. She is a lovely and pretty girl.

Since the very first emails Victoria knew what she wanted: roses in two color with a predominance of red.

Red, color of passion and love was the main theme of all floral arrangements I created for Victoria and Richard. Red was in bridal and bridesmaids’ bouquet, groom’s tie and buttonholes and of course in the decorations of the ceremony.

Another color was present too: blue.
it was not in the flowers but on groom and groomsmen’s suits, bridesmaids’ dresses, and Victoria’s father suit too. They were all in blue with a touch of red!

Civil ceremony was held in the gardens of Villa Bossi. It was an intimate and cosy ceremony with three moving wishes made by Victoria’s bridesmaids!

Have a look to Victoria’s hair do.
It is more than refined and surely very elegant. It perfectly matches her face and her wedding dress: a masterpiece of style!

After the ceremony Victoria and Richard took the occasion to have lovely pictures in the narrow roads in Orta village and St. Julius Island.

The party was held in a little restaurant just on the shores overlooking St. Julius Island.
Victoria threw her bouquet to start the party!
Once at their tables guests found a sweet surprise: a little rose blossom in their napkins. Little details made an event charming and pretty!

Victoria and Richard’s wedding was certainly one of the most elegant wedding I worked for in the first part of 2010 Summer season wedding!
