Their event was totally stress-free thank to the excellent job done by the planners who coordinated any details for the wedding day to Villa del Balbianello.

In our next post we’ll talk of the wedding day but today we’d like to focus on the stunning boat trip that the bride and groom to be decided to enjoy the day before the wedding.
This took place while planners were working for them.

Boat trip on Lake Como started early in the morning, under a beautiful sunny weather. Nadia and Michel went on Hotel Victoria pier in Menaggio. A luxury motorboat was waiting for them together with by Estella and Diego, the photographers of Photo27 who were in charge to follow the whole event. Nadia and Michel chose Estella and Diego for the style fresh and dynamism of their photo sessions, both bride and groom fell in love with their wonderful style.

Leaving Menaggio, motorboat toured the waters of the lake to reach first Bellagio tip and then Varenna, another famous wedding destination on Lake Como. Varenna was built on a rock vertically on the lake.
It is an ancient and picturesque fishermen village with beautiful villas facing the lake which are destination of many events organized by Italian Lakes Wedding Team.

Later, motorboat sailed to Como to reach the Lenno Bay. It is famous beach overlooking Venus Gulf and it is the ideal location for couples who desire a beach wedding in a dreamy frame.

Not far from here, there is Villa La Gaeta, whose shapes recall a medieval castle with Liberty style elements.

In its gardens on the lake shore, final scene of the movie 007 Casino Royale, with the British actor Daniel Craig for the first time interpreter of James Bond has been shot. Have a look at the final scene of the movie shooted at Villa La Gaeta.

And now Nadia and Micheal’s boat trip real destination: Villa del Balbianello! Between lake deep blue of the Lake and sky light blue, the Villa stands out clearly on Lavedo tip. It is surrounded by a choreography of rare beauty, between Tuscan Cypresses and amazing green.

For Nadia and Michel this has been the most exciting moment of their boat trip on the Lake Como! Villa del Balbianello is going to be the venue which is going to host them the day after: the day of a fantastic and unforgettable event.

March is such a perfect day for a romantic wedding in Orta San Giulio. Village is not crowded by tourists yet and enchanted intimacy make it a different world.
Do not forget that March could also have wonderful sunny days!

At first sight it could seem curious but Giuseppe and Daniela live close to Como. But they actually chose Lake Orta.
We would like to let them speak about that:

We chose Lake Orta even if we live close to Como. This because it quiet, romantic and more intimate. Walking in the narrow roads of Orta Village seems to live again ancient times experiencing unique atmospheres. They are just perfect for a wedding. We were more than happy of our choice.

From Como to Orta for a romantic wedding: a simple choice.

The civil ceremony has been held to Villa Bossi and its Orta town hall 1700 building. Such an intimate ceremony with close family and friends. They celebrated in in the garden on open air but in this occasion the garden seemed so quiet and romantic like it and Orta village was all for Daniela and Giuseppe!

Villa Bossi with its entrance from the lake it is simply scenographic. Ceremony in the garden is surely different from a room in a town hall. In fact since the civil ceremony is shorter than the religious one we wanted it to be special and unique.
Thanks to Ms Roberta our celebrant to Town Hall this was possible.

As far as Villa Bossi is concerned I’ve created ivory roses and white gerberas arrangements, They were like a bunches and fixed on the columns. I’ve also added some gerberas on the buxus that enrich the villa aisle. It was simple but very elegant matching Daniela and Giuseppe style.

We wanted our guests enjoy a motorboat tour and we took some time to have some pictures in the pretty village of Orta. When guests came back we jumped on the motorboat too and we reached St. Julius Island the location we chose for our wedding reception.

Right into the quietness of St.Julius Island, just on the shores, St. Julius Restaurant bears great scenarios and a warm atmosphere.
St. Julius Restaurant suggests regonal Piemonte dishes.
You can taste them on the terrace or inside the wonderful rooms of 1700 with frescoes just amazing!

We chose St. Julius Island because we decided for the lake as main theme and so we wanted to reach it only by lake! After seeing a lot of venues we thought it was the most intimate and the managers of the restaurant are very kind and friendly.

A wonderful day with a bright sun and an intimate and romantic atmosphere even more than usual!

The bride was radiant and Andrew so touched in seeing her cross the Church main door.

Andrew and Severine exchange romantically their vows and rings and received the applause and affection from all families and close friends.

After the ceremony a brief transfer bought the guests to the pier where a private boat was waiting for them.
A short walk and….WOW, the arrival at the venue surprised all the guests, it’s incredibly elegant.

Toasts, aperitifs and dinner were served outside the garden and inside the beautiful room.

And as final touch, the gorgeous wedding cake to celebrate Andrew and Severine love.

The party was funny and dances went on and on.

The majority of people who know Lake Como are actually most familiar with the picturesque western shore of the lake, stretching north from the city of Como, half-way up the length of the lake to the picturesque town of Cernobbio and Menaggio… and not just because George Clooney owns a villa on this stretch of the lake shore! Then, just a short ferry ride from Menaggio is the famous village of Bellagio, a better known tourist and wedding destination.
What most people do not know, is that it takes just another short ferry ride from Bellaggio to reach the most picturesque town on Lake Como: the delightful old village of Varenna, on the eastern shore of the lake, built on a rocky promontory it was for centuries a sentinel at the heart of the lake.
Varenna today is a quietly refined town with romantic panoramas, beautiful old houses and balconies filled with flowers. Varenna is the perfect choice for couples seeking all the charm of an ancient fishing village, and the relaxed atmosphere of this hideaway.
Varenna has a long, shaded lakeside promenade, like Menaggio.
