Today I would love to tell you about a very sweet and your couple coming from UK.
Hannah and James got married on late September 2010 on wonderful Lake Orta.
The day was blessed by a warm sun that brought a lot of joy to the event.
We can say that Hannah and James were surely the youngest couple we planned the wedding for in 2010 and we really want to wish them all the best for their life together!
Hannah and James decided for Orta without seeing it before. They thought once arrived here the lovely medieval village could be a sweet surprise for their guests and for them too.
And it was! The warm temperature of September welcomed the small group. Bride and groom decided for an intimate wedding on the shores of the lake.
Hannah’s tastes were on purple, lilac and white and she opted for a very elegant bouquet matching bridesmaid dress.
She decided to get ready in the amazing rooms of the Moorish Villa, one of the most luxurious venues in Orta San Giulio.
Hairdresser reached her here and she had all the time to get ready before reaching Orta main square to get on a rowing boat to reach James waiting for her to the town hall.

After winter and Lent time on Sacro Monte in Orta begun the wedding season too! We will have here many events for all the summer up to October.
The very first couple this year to have their wedding on Sacro Monte of Orta is Gaia and Massimo who got married here the late afternoon, just above Lake Orta.
Bride arrived on a legendary Rolls Royce Silver Shadow of 1957.
Her bouquet was really unique made up with Dendrobium Orchids, Hydrangeas, Bowardias and blue Cornflowers.
The church was really full of white peonies, Dendrobium orchids and blue hydrangeas just a dream!
Gaia and Massimo’s big day was celebrated with a lovely party to Villa Crespi.
A lovely aperitif in the garden and a delicious 2 Michelin stars dinner in the the amazing rooms of this very famous venue on Lake Orta. Continue Reading »

The dare to be different! Today we would like to tell you about Sonja and Allard a lovely couple who chose a very different color scheme Orange and fuchsia.
Even if fuchsia and orange are two very different colors if you match them in the right context they could made up an absolutely different and beautiful scheme that could be so fun for your wedding!
In order to recall Summer nothing is better than bright colors such as fuchsia and orange. These colors could be the perfect frame for a natural wedding in a garden, on a beach or just by the lake shores like Sonja and Allard did.
Sonja and Allard ara another lovely couple coming from Holland who chose Lake Orta for their wedding in italy. Do you remember about Desire and Sander and they sweet balloons themed wedding? Or do you recall about Danielle and Silvain the groom with the top hat?
Choice for colors was not accidental. Orange is the color which represent Holland, Prince of Orange and National Football Team, soccer players are called Oranges (Oranje in Dutch).
Sonja contacted me via email a couple of months before the wedding and she had very precise ideas on her colors scheme. As floral designer my task was advising Sonja about the most suitable flowers to use considering that the couple had not a huge budget. Continue Reading »

Last year, we have been among the first to announce that Villa Carlotta opened for civil wedding ceremonies. Today we are here to tell you about Elisabeth and Oyvind.
They are a nice Norwegian couple, who took the chance to celebrate a dream wedding in one of the most famous Villas on Lake Como.
Photographer Raffaello Mazzoleni followed the event for Italian Lakes Wedding team, and he realized a really dynamic, sunny and funny photographic wedding service for this lovely couple.

Villa Carlotta is located in Tremezzo, close by of 2 famous destination weddings locations on Lake Como: Bellagio and Varenna. Villa Carlotta is one of the most famous villas on lake.
It is a wonderful place where you will be able to appreciate its structure, its works of art and its wide park with many tropical and exotic trees and coloured flowers. In spring blossoms of Azaleas and Rhododendros are really simply amazing.
The wedding civil ceremony can be celebrated inside the Villa in one of the rooms, or outdoor, in one of the beautiful terrace. “Sala dell’amore” (Room of Love), where the ceremony can take be arranged, it is embellished by 2 famous masterpieces representing famous “Amore e Psiche” (Love and Psyche) of Canova school and “Ultimo bacio di Giulietta e Romeo” (Last Kiss of Romeo and Juliet) by Francesco Hayez, one of the most admired painting.

As usual in our Just Married section we give you a little preview of our weddings on the lake.
This afternoon was Hannah and James‘ turn a nice British couple who chose magic atmospheres of Lake Orta for their wedding.
Lilac was theme color of the event. It was used for Hannah’s bouquet, Villa Bossi and Restaurant on St Julius Island floral arrangement and even for James’ tie.
White bride and Caribbean bridesmaid wearing dark purple was just a perfect match!
As special thank to Enrico Mocci photographer from ArteFotoArona who gave us very first images of this lovely event in no time!

Today we are glad to come back to Lake Bracciano and its Odescalchi castle to tell you a little about the stunning wedding of this very nice couple: Jan and Olga.
Jan and Olga’s style is elegant and refined but they also added a a touch of humor that gave the castle a brand new interpretation.
Have a look to some of the pictures here and you will surely have a better idea.
Even if the sky was a little cloudy they could enjoy the lake and its amazing view..
The wedding frame was more than scenografic.
We would love to thank Alessandro Zingone Studio. Very good and professional photographer Alessandro Zingone working on Lazio region, Lake Bracciano and Rome gave us the possibility to have a first glance on this wedding.

And it is not over!
After Daniela and Mauro’s wedding, Lake Orta was the perfect frame for Leigh and Liam’s wedding too a British couple who got married in the afternoon to Villa Bossi.
Liam and Leigh’s theme color was purple.
You could see it in bridesmaids dresses on floral arrangements, even in Leigh’s shoes and in the wonderful bridal bouquet created with purple lysianthus.
These are the first images that Photo27 kindly shared with us. They were very quick.
We often talked about this prestigious Studio in Milan directed by Diego and Estella which is able to provide great wedding photo services.
We will come back telling more about this purple themed wedding and in the meanwhile our best wishes to bride and groom!

Daniela and Mauro are a nice couple coming from Lake Orta but living and working in Crans-Montana (Switzerland – Vallese Canton). For they wedding they decided to come back to Orta to celebrate they big day with all relatives and they old friends.
Daniela and Mauro’s wedding was celebrated on today late morning in the Church of Assunta (Cireggio di Omegna) with a lovely reception to follow on St. Julius Island with great view on the lake.
A special thank to Alessandro Balossi who sent in no time very first images of the event.
Alessandro Balossi is our photographer of smiling brides. We told you about him several times.
He is a very good professional with a long experience who lives and works on Lake Orta. He is able to provide a very good photo-service with good prices too.
Have a look to wonderful Aqua roses! they were the main character of the floral arrangement and Daniela’s bridal bouquet. Aqua rose! is a beautiful rose in the shades of pink-lavender, with a little touch of blue. Matching them with Vendela roses and Lisianthus made the arrangement just gorgeous. Continue Reading »

Today for our Just Married section we come back on Lake Maggiore to tell you about an Italian couple Francesca and Sebastiano.
In late morning Francesca and Sebastiano got married to Villa San Remigio the ancient villa built in 1800 which can host legal civil ceremony for town of Verbania Pallanza.
Villa San Remigio is located in a wonderful park with a stunning view on the lake.
Bride arrived in the main yard on a wonderful vintage Fiat Balilla of 1933.
Have a look to Francesca’s bouquet made with cream roses and pink Anthurium matching her pretty light pink dress.

Yesterday we told you about Eve-Marie and Roland’s wedding and we told you about Sacro Monte Church in Orta, one of the most wanted churches to get married on the lakes. No doubt this church is amazing just like its view on the lake a perfect mix for our couples.
We are again to Sacro Monte in Orta for Laura and Johannes’ wedding.
Laura is Italian and Johannes is coming from Austria and they chose Orta for their special day.
Have a look to wonderful Laura’s dress with some little details in silver matching Johannes’ tie and bridal bouquet created with cream roses and some greenery with silver shades.

Today, surrounded by the magic landscape of lake Bracciano and the gorgeous Odescalchi castle, got married Natasha and Glenn.
Natasha and Glenn choosed to celebrate their romantic ceremony on the granary garden facing the lake.
…and the aperitif on the secret garden, where they enjoyed the lansdcape till sunset… just stunning.
Everything was designed to be very simple but really chic.

Big hydrangeas flowers were the main characters of Dana and Nicola’s wedding on Lake Orta.
We have already given a preview of this event on our Just Married section.
Waiting for Enrico Mocci‘s entire photo gallery I would like to spend few words on Nicola and Dana’s wedding floral arrangement.
Nicola and Dana’s color scheme varied from pastel pink to cream with the frame of big hydrangeas flowers.
Hydrangeas are simple but elegant flowers. They are very local on lakes. You can find many here thanks to climate and soil.
Hydrangeas are ideal on a summer wedding. They can match every situation: open air, garden receptions or romanic or baroque churches you can find on lakes region.
The religious ceremony was held in Sacro Monte church on top of Orta hill overlooking the lake.
For this occasion I created a white hydrangeas based arrangement with some cream and pastel cream roses adding some greenery too. Continue Reading »
