A wonderful ceremony was prepared, but the most emotional moment were the trumpet music interludes from Cindy’s father and at the end an Italian song presented by one of their best friends being an opera singer.

There is enough outdoor-space to organize a toast afterwards and so we had special champagne from Lussemburg as Cindy parents are coming from there.

After enjoying a while the scenic views one has all over the lake we drove back to Villa Margherita and had the Italian aperitivo in their terraced gardens followed by a seated dinner.

Let me mention our deco-concept: it was all white and a smooth purple. Purple colored Hortensies matched with white Roses and white and lilac Lysianthus.

Very light colors of this were used for the church, whereas at the dinner tables we played with all tonalities, even the dark ones for the compositions matched by candlelight that created a very intimate atmosphere. Thanks to our florist La Piccola Selva.

Next to the dinner tables Villa Margherita installed a wooden dancefloor, so our DJ Alex get everybody on it to dance until late hours.

A very nice idea was, to get the whole group of guests on a boats-tour in the morning, enjoying the breeze of the water and visit the jewel of Lake Maggiore with a guided tour in german language through the famous Palazzo Borromeo on the island Isola Bella. The bride obviously not joined the excursion as she had to prepare with hairdresser and cosmetic preparations as well get dressed.

So this was not just a wedding, but – having joined the very rustic get together the evening before and a sunny brunch the morning after – a very nicely organized 3-day-event to enjoy the guests with local curiosities.

Mit dem Pfarrer gemeinsam wurde eine wirklich rührselige Zeremonie ausgearbeitet. Aber besonders individuell war das Trompetenspiel von Cindys Vater und am Schluss trug dann ein guter Freund der Familie auch noch ein italienisches Lied in Opernmanier vor.

Vor der Kirche befindet sich ein geräumiger Terrassenplatz, sodass dies ein geeigneter Ort für einen Umtrunk ist. Cindys Eltern hatten einen speziellen Champagner aus ihrer Heimat Luxemburg mitgebracht.
Nach ausreichendem Genuss, vor allem aber auch der wunderschönen Blicke über den gesamten Lago Maggiore fuhren wir zurück zur Villa Margherita und wurden dort mit einem Welcome-Cocktail in deren Terrassengärten empfangen. Gefolgt von einem servierten Hochzeitsdinner im Garten.

Lasst mich kurz über die Deko sprechen: alles war in diversen Tonalitäten von weiss bis mauve-lila ausgestattet. Mit farbigen Hortensien, gemixt mit romantischen weissen Rosen und weissen und lila Lisianthus. In der Kirche eher alles hell gehalten, stattdessen wurden bei der Tischdekoration gekonnt alle intensiven Töne eingesetzt. Mit den Kerzen gemeinsam ergab dies eine sehr kuschelige Atmosphäre. Danke an unsere lieben Floristen La Piccola Selva.

Neben dem Dinner ist nun eine fest installierte Tanzfläche von der Villa vorgesehen. Hier sorgte unser DJ Alex für perfekte Tanzstimmung bis in den Morgen hinein.

Eine sehr schöne Idee von uns war es, dass die Gäste vormittags einen Bootsausflug machten. So konnten sie den See geniessen und ausserdem einer geführten Tour in deutscher Sprache in dem berühmten Palazzo Borromeo auf der Isola Bella folgen. In der Zwischenzeit hatte die Braut Cindy alle Ruhe, um sich mit Friseuse und Kosmetikerin schön zu machen.

Letzlich war dies nicht nur die Konzentration auf die Trauung selbst, aber mit dem sehr rustikalen get together am Abend vorher und dem sonnenverwöhnten Brunch am nächsten Morgen ein gut organisierter 3-Tage-Event zum Wohle der Gäste.

When they came over for their visit to choose the right venue for their wedding Lucy fell in love with the wonderful spot of Villa Bossi in Orta, an ideal venue for an outdoor civil ceremony.
For their reception Lucy and Mike wanted something different and for this reason they opted for Lake Maggiore and its wonderful clear waters.

Let’s start from the beginning!
Lucy and Mike’s guests were not many they decided to stay in Stresa the gem of Lake Maggiore overlooking Borromeo Islands.
It is just there where Lucy got ready.
At the right time all were ready to reach Lake Orta for a wonderful ceremony at Villa Bossi.
Lucy arrived a little later to get on the boat and reach Mike and guests waiting for her.

Flower decorations were studied by La Piccola Selva and as usual they were just perfect!
Lucy wanted a simple yet elegant scheme based mainly on white and green and
her favorite flowers: Lysianthis and Orchids.
The bouquet had a touch of purple that made the bride even more special.

After a moving ceremony and some pictures in the charming and very Italian setting of Lake Orta the whole group left Orta to reach Lake Maggiore.

Here’s the surprise!
A boat in Stresa was waiting for them to take the group to Isola Bella for stunning pictures in the park and by the palace!
A wonderful and unique setting for wedding pictures.
Photos were taken by Enrico Mocci by ArtefotoArona and his staff and they are all beautiful and romantic!
But the surprises are not finished.

After the tour on Isola Bella a bigger boat took the group for a wonderful tour on Lake Maggiore with a rich and delicious aperitif on board.

The tour ended to the lovely Restaurant Verbano on Pescatori Island where a private royal table was waiting for Lucy and Mike’s reception.

A small group, a sweet couple for a wedding on two lakes….we ensure that this dream can come true on our Lakes!

We already told you about Isola Bella and its great Italian gardens. They are the best especially in Spring time with an amazing explosion of colored flowers: camellias, rhododendrons, magnolias, wisterias, azaleas and during the year they never stop blooming.

Cristina and Simone wanted for their wedding pictures this special heaven on earth.
A lovely and warm Spring day of April was the perfect frame for their special event.

Weather on Borromeo Islands and on Lakes area is usually characterized by a period of rain that goes from 3 to 5 weeks in Spring. It vary according the year.
This year March had some rain while April was really good just like Cristina and Simone’s day.

Cristina and Simone chose the skills and experience of Maurizio Paracchini of Foto Studio 2000. Maurizio Paracchini is a very good professional, he attended many workshops of wedding, portrait and industrial photography with the most important photographers in Italy.
He knows how to use color, black and white, traditional tequiniques and digital fantasy.

Borromeo Palace and its gardens were built during 1600 to look like a big floating vessel.
The style of the garden reflects the classical Baroque taste of the Italian Gardens.
Nature is considered a scenography for a show always changing.

Gardens are enriched with exotic plants, allegoric or mythological statues, obelisks and fountains, floating plants, strangely shaped trees, terraces with columns and other statues or obelisks.
Isola Bella is also populated by wonderful white peacocks, they are free in the garden and you could really see them!

Isola Bella is a magic and amazing place.

We talked about Borromeo Islands their natural beauty and their history several times.
But this time we would like to suggest our brides and grooms some useful information for a wedding on the three main islands of Borromeo Gulf: Isola Bella, Isola Madre and Isola dei Pescatori.
A special thanks to Piero Gatti – wedding photographer in Stresa – for the great Borromeo Islands’ images he provided us.

These three islands have a rich vegetation and a mild climate all year long, thanks to Lake Maggiore waters, sun rays exposition and wind shielded position. Here you will appreciate a Mediterranean micro climate and you will see delicate and exotic plants.

If you are thinking about getting married on Borromeo Island take April and May in consideration. You will find showers sometimes but rhododendrons, magnolias, azaleas and camellias blooming is amazing. It could be the perfect frame for amazing wedding pictures.

As far as transports are concerned all islands are reachable thanks to ferries or lovely motorboats services. They may be able to transfer even big groups of people.

Booking the boats you could have an exclusive use of the boat or ferry to enjoy a lovely tour on the lake during the day or even at night to appreciate an amazing panorama.

Lake is most of the time calm and quaint there are not storms or heavy rain except for summer storms in late summer.
Waters are calm too and in less than 10 minutes you can reach islands from mainland.

Borromeo Gulf has a lovely Alpine frame around it but each Island has its own character and peculiarity. We will tell you more in next posts.

Tessa Brix is a Dutch model. She is also famous in her country for many TV spots and catwalks.
In 2003 she was Miss Netherlands Universe and she represented Netherlands to selections for Miss Universe in Turkey.
In 2005 she was chosen again to represent the Netherlands to Miss Europe in Paris.

It was a real honor for Italian Lakes Wedding Team hosting Tessa Brix wedding. We worked hard to make this happen and to let Tessa and Daniel enjoy their event in every single detail.
Valentina Lombardi – our planner for Lake Maggiore – followed the planning event, Monika Andenmatten followed floral design. Enrico Mocci was the photographer chosen by Tessa and Daniel to be their official photographer for their Big Day.

Wedding was arranged among Stresa, Pallanza and Isola Bella.
Three well known destinations on Lake Maggiore. They were the perfect frame for such a great wedding. A wonderful sunny day was the final touch!

Villa Palazzo Aminta was the headquarter of all the events. It was the place where bride and groom and their guests spent their staying in Italy.
At the right time all guests took a lovely motorboat to reach Villa Rusconi Clerici.

Marriage ceremony was held in the lovely lawn of Villa Rusconi on the lake shores.
Just perfect!

Tessa’s choice for flowers was based on Lisianthus, Freesias and Roses.
White and lilac rose petals were scattered on the aisle in the green garden of Villa Rusconi.
As far as the blessing was concerned Monika Andematten created two high arrangements placed side of the ceremony table.

Tessa’s color scheme was based on lilac and white in different pastel shades.
These fine and elegant colors were also incorporated in Tessa’s elegan bridal bouquet who matched her wedding dress just perfectly.

After the ceremony Tessa and Daniel enjoyed the wonderful day with a short toast to the villa and most of all with a motorboat tour to Borromeo Islands and Isola Bella.

After the pictures it was time to come back to their guests for Tessa and Daniel.
They were all waiting for them to Villa Palazzo Aminta.
While waiting for them they all took the opportunity to change their dresses and suits and have a little swim in the swimming pool of the hotel.
It was a hot day!

Tessa and Daniel took many other pictures in the wonderful rooms of the hotel.
This is one of the most exclusive venues on Lake Maggiore.

After a lovely aperitif in the garden and a perfect dinner in the restaurant of the hotel, some speeches and lots of kisses and moving moments it is time for the wedding cake!

A delicious and beautiful wedding cake was the perfect surprise arranged by Tessa’s mother for bride and groom.
Tessa and Daniel cut their cake in the garden of Villa Aminta overlooking a perfect night view on the Lake and Borromeo Island.

Just a magic moment for the unforgettable wedding of Miss Netherland Universe on Lake Maggiore!

Cinzia and Christian, Melissa and Cameron: two distant couple connected by a red themed wedding.

Red is color of love, a warm and passionate color. It is a interesting and charming color. In many cultures it is the representation of beauty. Indian, Mussels and Chines brides usually wear red to celebrate love, passion and romanticism.

Melissa and Cameron for their wedding chose to have red all around.
Just have a look to bridesmaids and flower girls dresses, groom tie and of course on the table centerpieces and bridal bouquet.

They decided to celebrate their big day to Grand Hotel des Iles Borromées. Luxury rooms with red and gold colors matched perfectly with Melissa and Cameron’s theme.

Wedding ceremony was held in one of the most beautiful rooms of the hotel. You could admire tapestries, mosaics, and precious marbles which evoke wonderful Belle Epoque times.

Grand Hotel des Iles Borromées is one of the most exclusive hotel in Stresa on Lake Maggiore. It has a wide park facing Borromeo Gulf and a stunning view on Isola Bella and Pescatori Island.

Melissa and Cameron together with their family and friends decided to have great pictures in the amazing rooms of the hotel. All images are taken by Photo27 from Milano. A great service to underline Melissa and Cameron’s special Red Themed Wedding to Grand Hotel des Iles Borromées.

As Mariana and Matteo (main character of the picture who won the contest Shot of the Year 2009) Francesco deep love for his hometown affected Sarah. So this is the reason because they chose Lake Maggiore as frame for their wedding.

As floral designer I managed all flower arrangements for Sarah and Francesco’s wedding: from their ceremony who was held in Sala del Regno in Verbania and reception to Grand Hotel Dino in Baveno. Last but not least I created also bridal bouquet with red roses and wonderful sparkling Swarovski that Sarah brought from UK. Such a perfect choice! The lovely sunny weather made them sparkling all thay long just like little diamonds.

Religious ceremony with Jehovah service has been held in Sala del Regno in Verbania. It is a big and bright building with lovely garden.
Religious service of Jehovah’s Witnesses is very simple but surely strict. It follows rules that founder Charles Russell established in middle 1800 and spread through religious magazine The Watch Tower.

Sala del Regno in Verbania has a very minimal style in its inside. It has no altar or columns although my flower decoration was placed on metal and wicker holders.
Grand Prix roses matched white Lisianthus and apple green Alchemilla with some Ruscus festoons.

After the ceremony Sarah and Francesco took a walk on Stresa promenade with Isola Bella on the background for wonderful wedding pictures.
We take the occasion to thank wonderful photographer Davide Caravaggio from Verbania (Caravaggio, just like the famous painter!!)
The image with bride and groom and Isola Bella, to me, is one of the best taken on Stresa promenade. Such a lovely contrast between lights and shadows that make this image the perfect spot – a symbol for weddings on Lake Maggiore. Great job Davide!

After Stresa bride and groom went to Grand Hotel Dino where all their guests were waiting for them.
If you are looking for a luxury wedding on Lake Maggiore in wide, bright rooms just on the shores, Grand Hotel Dino in Baveno could be the right choice!

In the wide function room of Hotel Dino I created lovely centerpiece matching Sara’s bridal bouquet style. It matches elegant and luxury atmosphere too. I created fine compositions with a touch of essential simplicity in order to let all guests admire the beauty of the place too.

Last but not least I really want to show you this wonderful picture. You will see Sarah in it. Doesn’t she look like a queen? Her joy, her jewels, tiara, necklace and earrings together the bouquet I created for her make her just a wonderful vision.

This the best memory I have from amazing Sarah and Francesco’s Wedding on Lake Maggiore!
