Once the location was decided, it could start the teamwork of the Russian and Italian wedding planners. Misha, the head of the Russian wedding planner team, was the creative author of the event, ensuring to respect the Russian traditions very important both for the spouses and the guests. While the Italian team was responsible for the scene, the decorations and the realization of the creative ideas together with our trusted, professional suppliers. After a lot of working hours during the day and night, videoconferences through skype with the spouses, and finally the BIG day has arrived. Actually, it was not just the day itself, but a complete weekend with 3 days program, full of surprises for the guests…

After an exciting and funny treasure hunting in Venice, the wedding party arrived in Desenzano the night before. Followed by a hectic morning with the preparations, the guests arrived In the villa, where a refreshing rich aperitif welcomed them in the loan area, with delicious fingerfood and lot of champagne to admire the scene on comfortable sofas and pillows. Little white fans were offered to the women, to be able to support better the hot temperature. Soft jazz music gave background to the peaceful moment. Then the special wedding guest ( a tradition in Russia) called the guests to join him in front of the stage, decorated with the romantic white huppah and lively red flowers in huge white glass vases.

After the entrance of the Groom and the Bridesmaids, finally Olesya has appeared on the water, in a little fishing boat. A man in a sailor’s striped vest was rowing the boat, then slowed down in front of the guests to allow to everybody the celebrate the Bride’s arrival. Then the boat went to the pier, where Mothers of the groom and the bride met Olesya, holding candles in their hands.

After the romantic ceremony under the huppah, the guests took place at the tables, decorated with a fabulous flower cup in the middle and apples signaling the places of each guests. And this is the point when the wedding started to be very different from the italian weddings: in the breaks between the different plates of the dinner, various entertaining activities ensured that the guests are having fun. They had “fake” waiters turning up as singers with traditional italian songs, a little “group work” to build sketches with objects taken from different nations’ wedding traditions, a creative corner where every guests could create his/her own personalized venetian mask, a caricaturist to make funny drawing of the participants. But the main spectacle was the first dance of the newly wed spouses, who danced a romantic classical ballet piece (as both of them are found of classical ballet, and the Bride practicing also actively this beautiful art).

Obviously, fireworks couldn’t be missing to complete this very special evening, together with a romantic slideshow projection of the photos of Olesya & Fedor in Venice, few days before the wedding. Music and dance closed the event, while the surprise limousine (organized by the groom) didn’t come to take the spouses to their hotel to their first night as husband and wife….

And it still did not finish: the day after a relaxing boat trip was offered to the guests to exploit better lake Garda before leaving our beautiful lakeshores.

Civil Ceremony was held in one of the lovely rooms of Torri del Benaco Castle while for their reception they opted for Bardolino town.
Bardolino is one of the most quaint villages on Lake Garda. It is famous for their vines yards and of course Bardolino wine a precious red wine.

Ceremony was planned to be on the tower of Torri del Benaco castle but it was held in one of the room because of a little shower.
Right after the ceremony gray clouds went away to let a wonderful sun coming out, like in a fairy tale the sky was simply amazing.

Joanne and Justin had the possibility to have stunning pictures on lakeside promenade and in the ancient little road old Torri del Benaco village.

At the northern end of this “small sea”, where the Garda ends and just beyond to the Brenta Dolomites, lies the picturesque town of Riva del Garda. Kerstin and Wolfgang came from Düsseldorf and wished to get married at Bardolino. Why especially Bardolino and not any other village around Lake Garda? They had often been to this place and hat lots of wonderful memories, so they wanted to relighten all this nice thoughts from the former years of their life together.

Kerstin, the bride came up with a very special colour for her flowers, it was a dark lilac and shoes and bag in gold, so the flowers hat to fit this combination. How perfect the flowers were, so bride and bouquet were shining and the groom had his little buttonhole.

The civil ceremony was inside the Town Hall of Bardolino which is quite cool from the interior design. So I brought some ribbons and some petals to have the inside decorated and welcoming the couple warmly. My assistant had to be the one witness, as they were only accompanied by their mum.
To lighten up the ceremony, that consists mainly of the legal articles to be read out, I was prepared with a poem, Kahil Gibrain who talks about marriage in his famous book “the prophet”.

When coming out of the Town Hall, the first task was to surround 3 times the old captains table made of stone, as it is said this will bring luck to newlyweds.

We had a photographer that was taking pictures of the bride and groom all over Bardolino until they stopped an hour later to have a toast with Italian Prosecco and canapèes in the cafè next to the lake.
And then there waited their little boat, in wooden shape, to bring them back to their hotel and relax, before in the evening they would have been able to enjoy their private dinner at their hotel.

Just another way of enjoying very intensively the wedding day, as no guest and no big timetable to follow – they loved this day and will take it in their hearts forever. And I am happy that again I could help a couple realize what they dreamt of.

September it’s a lovely month for a wedding on Lake Garda: the weather is mild and sunny, and all the guests can really enjoy the outdoor sceneries.

Our lovely bride Hayley and his father decided to reach the Castle by a funny blue Ape Car, sipping a glass of champagne.

The white dress shined under the sun and the groom Chris couldn’t wait to see her arriving!

After a short walk she finally came in the Castle and crossed the terrace at her father arm, accompanied by the Wedding March notes.

The ceremony, personalized with readings, poetries and music was really touching and unique.

After the wedding, the newlyweds were attended to the Castle main entrance to receive the applause and the soap bubbles of their relatives and friends.

The cool Ape car lead Hayley and Chris to the lake view restaurant they chose for their reception and where they shared this special moment with the family.

This is a lovely old town, also known as the Olive Riviera, located at the foot of Monte Baldo.

Here, the nature of the surroundings is really impressive and characterized by stunning pine woods, olive groves and lemon orchards.

This incredible place allows the couples to celebrate their civil wedding ceremony directly at the castle located in the center of the town or, in alternative, in the ancient Church of San Giovanni.

The castle, just few meters away from the harbour, was made to defend the city and has three towers, all of which is surrounded by the ruins of the town walls that protected the town of Torri del Benaco.
People of Torri del Benaco are very proud of this monument so well maintained during the centuries and where you still can feel a magic atmosphere.

The splendid ceremony can be celebrated directly on the tower terrace, overlooking the Lake, if the number of guests is small (max 15).

Otherwise, it’s available the romantic Lemon Groves at the foot of the castle. The lemon grove holds up to 40 people standing (seated places are only for Bride and Groom).

Although formerly a church, this venue will celebrate only civil wedding ceremonies!

After this unforgettable celebration, Torri del Benaco hides many beautiful spots for your forever pictures: such as the picturesque harbour plenty of small boats and the characteristic old center of the town.

The wedding of Mercedes and Eugene was celebrated in the shadow of the huge lemon plants of the Limonaia (Lemon Groves) of the Castello Scaligero, one of the last citrus fruit greenhouses still functioning on Lake Garda, since 1760.

It hardly seems possible that two weeks have passed since we were with you in Italy – and we have so many wonderful memories of that special occasion! The Palace of the Town Hall – to celebrate your civil wedding – is in the heart of the old city center, just next to the lovely small port, giving a special frame to your forever love promise to each other.
