Lake Garda East coast is embellished by many castles and crenellated cities.
This obviously is explained by the ancient history of this side of the lake and has its origins in the proximity to the elegant Verona.

Scala dynasty ruled the city for 125 years and extended its dominions to Lake Garda, leaving many historical testimonies.

One of the most famous is the castle of Malcesine.
Your Wedding in Malcesine will be certainly wonderful. You will enjoy this small village on the northern shore of the lake that seems suspended in time. It is a small village with cobbled streets that climb up a gentle slope until reaching the fortress overlooking the lake.

To Matteo and Martina it all seemed natural choosing the elegance of this noble city for their ceremony and the relaxed and joyful frame of Lake Garda for the reception.

Martina’s grace illuminated everything, as well as her wonderful smile!

Her long white dress, her hair softly gathered by impalpable white flowers and only a pretty bow on shoes… Final preparations for the bride and everything is ready.

Every detail in Matteo and Martiana’s Wedding reveals elegance and simplicity, expertly captured by our photographer Beatrice Mancini. The ceremony was held in Duomo Baptistery in Verona, a setting of rare elegance and sobriety, white candles down the aisle and a delicate bouquet of Gypsophila.

A young flower girl with a small bouquet, similar to bride’s one, preceded Martina on her walk down the white aisle while the antique stones and ancient coats of arms were witnesses to this romantic moment.

This is one of the most beautiful churches in Verona which was built on the ruins of an early Christian basilica. It was totally rebuilt in the XII century in Romanesque style preserving the location between the Cathedral and the bishop’s palace, both some of most beautiful Verona’s buildings. A really magical frame for a catholic ceremony.

After the intimate ceremony, nothing could be better than a vintage car to get to an old Locanda on Lake Garda to continue the celebration with all the guests! The ancient streets of Verona, the castle, the squares and rolling hills … the scenery along the way to the lake is full of unique and unforgettable views and asks to stop for a few shots right in Italian style.

Reception venue has a quiet and pleasant atmosphere which allowed to the newlyweds enjoying a cool summer evening on the lake with relatives and friends. This old Locanda offers also colourful and charming rooms to extend the celebrations for a holiday staying or romantic honeymoon on the lake. Wide open spaces, informal atmosphere and background music made the Matteo and Martina’s reception a lovely evening!

Between speeches, good food and relaxing moments around the pool the evening flew away as lightly as a butterfly…

We appreciated their modern look and the fact that even if they had been together for a while and are already a family; they looked as if they had met yesterday and fell in love instantly!

So in love that the ring tradition was nearly overlooked in their wedding. They found a couple of colourful rings in Cristina’s jewel box and decided they were good enough for the ceremony. They stated firmly that they were marring the heart, not the finger!

Most of all they were glad of their choice, Sirmione really had a very favourable impact on them: the rocky beaches, the clear water… the swarm of the locals cheering them along their way to the boat after the wedding ceremony!

Once the photo shooting was over and they had also the chance to cool down playing with fresh water of the lake. Then they reached characteristic pier of Sirmione where a high class – high speed boat was waiting for them!

While sipping a deliciously iced sparkling wine offered them, they admired the sunset on the lake and on the tiny villages cast on the shores of the lake that like precious jewels reflected their shimmers on the calm, rocking waters.
And the best had yet to come!

In the meanwhile everything was almost ready at the reception venue: flowers arranged by skilled florist Il Mughetto, candle lights, lanterns and the top gourmet chefs ready for the arrival of the new weds!

They were dropped off on the little wooden pier of the venue, few more shots from our skilled photographer Antonello Perin … and it was time for them to experience this first class nouvelle cuisine experience!

I am grateful to you for everything, your attentions, effor, friendliness… All of you are so kind and charm.
It was a wonderful and very special day, more than I had imagined. And your presence was the best of the wedding, better than any guest.

Just few minutes drive from Lake Garda there is Venice.
Here boat is the only way to get around, especially on a wedding day. Francesca and Nicola’s wedding was celebrated in a secluded and exclusive island of the lagoon!

You can imagine bride’s excitement and happiness, when she got onto the water taxi to get to the wedding ceremony!

Francesca and Nicola choose to celebrate their union in the beautiful Church of Santa Fosca. It was built around the IX century with a Venetian-Byzantine style on the Torcello island which is situated between the worldwide famous Murano and Burano villages.

They were looking for a very special, important and cosy venue, were they could be away from tourists of Venice but where they could still enjoy its timeless beauty and secret. This venue has a special aura of majesty and enabled couples and their guests to share something very intimate and beautiful.

Torcello satisfied their desires. Ancient, small fishermen village, where everything is closely – including the restaurant where Francesca and Nicola’s reception was held! Here you will feel the simplicity and authenticity of the past!

Our photographer Riccardo Bestetti, was able to follow bride and groom discretely to catch the most important moments with their delicate and ephemeral emotional nuances. We especially appreciated Riccardo Bestetti’s black and white shots, the dramatic contrast showing the pathos of emotions: love, tenderness, joy.

He was able to add an touch of timeliness to the whole ceremony while capturing an unexpected point of view of situations! When a group of kayaks gathered in front of the restaurant patio, Riccardo Bestetti made it look like as if they were actually there to bring their homage to the new couple!

Late in the evening they had a lovely and intimate civil ceremony and then took photos in some of the characteristic corners of Sirmione. Since it was very hot, the couple enjoyed the playing with the lake’s fresh water!

A short wonderful boat trip added a touch of glamour to their unforgettable, special day. A great surprise was waiting for them at the terrace of the restaurant: flower spread all over the floor while lanterns and candles created on the terrace a romantic atmosphere for their wedding dinner!

What could be a better place than Italy? A country full of story, sharing with its lovers hidden niches of infinite beauty.
During their visit around the Lake Garda, after visiting many characteristic villages and famous locations,Steve and Sarah came across a tiny well kept village in the North of the Lake called Malcesine. In this location filled with colorful little artisan shops, family run restaurants and the superb surrounding nature, they finally found what they were looking for!
The venue to tie the knot was Scaligero Castle, stately rising from the village promontory! The Castle has a very long and rich history. It had many owners who kept it polished and magnificent through the centuries. It was built in the first millennium by the Lombards and then destroyed and rebuilt by the Franks. From there on, it has been a jewel in the hands either of Republic of Venice, of Austrian-Hungarian Empire, of France and of many Italian lineages. Then it was declared National Monument in 1206.
In this rare pearl set in a fairy tale landscape, Steve and Sarah decided to celebrate their most important event as a couple: their wedding!

When the day finally arrived, everything was ready for their wonderful ceremony, young page boys and flower girls, cheerful guests were waiting for this very important day. Cascades of flowers were awaiting the couple for their vows exchange!

Our skillful photographers from Photo 27 Studio were able to capture unique shots, so delicate and important but so qucik to vanish in a heartbeat. We love especially the following photo, Sarah’s farewell to her previous life and Steve’s waiting, longing to start his new life with Sarah… and finally they exchanged vows and rings!

Classical music, played by artists our great Joy Ensemble Duo (Violin and Cello) in the background, added a touch of uniqueness and elegance to their YES!

For this special occasion musicians played some classical tunes by their repertoire.
Some other were expressively requested by bride and groom as Viavaldi Four Seasons and Fields of Gold by Sting.
