If you travel along the North shore of beautiful lake Bracciano , you will find the lovely little village of Trevignano, a medieval picturesque town, few km North of Rome, which is a real pearl of the lake.

Built on a volcanic lava cliff drop, the village is located on a little gulf, the secondary crater of an ancient volcano.
The medieval Borgo, is well preserved and the beautiful tree-lined promenade that stretches for about 3 miles, with many bars, restaurants and beach resorts, are the perfect setting for a relaxing italian summer vacation and above all for a romantic Italian wedding.

If you are thinking of a civil marriage, it can be celebrated in the beautiful town hall located in the main piazza, right in front of the lake.
The hall is richly decorated with beautiful frescoes and from the window of the ancient palazzo, you may admire the amazing landscape of the lake.

On the other hand, the catholic ceremony can be held in the old Assunta Church built on the ruins of a gothic building that towards the end of the eighteen century it was completely rebuilt in baroque style.

Vanessa and Stuart are a couple from London who came to Rome with some close friends for an enjoyable weekend end, to visit the most beautiful monuments and museums of the Eternal City, and to go shopping in the city center.

britta on Nov 23rd 2011 Wedding Planning
Britta from Creative Wedding – Italian Lakes Wedding tries to explain what a wedding planner needs to know to give good advice and a first cost overview.
It is always nice to get the emails from a future bride or groom, so I am excited and want to start immediately to write back to them with millions of ideas I have in my head.
But before writing back, it is necessary to review what this new couple did write about their expectations and wishes for their big day.

The more information I get from a couple, the more focused and precise tips and advices I can tell them. Let me explain what is important to know:
BUDGET
An approximate budget together with an approximate number of guests is helpful to understand which region of Italy maybe right and what kind of location is affordable. It is clear to me that you have no exact figures as you are only at a starting point. But still some approximate thoughts you made for yourself and this is helpful for me to think what to propose.
Do not be afraid to ask for a low budget wedding, there are certainly possibilities for each kind of budget!

STYLE AND AMBIENCE
I am sure that you already had first looks into wedding magazines or you were always dreaming of your big day. So if you tell me about those ideas and dreams, about colours, about the ambience, about friends and family and what they expect from you, this helps to understand if your budget can match this or what would be suitable alternatives to get near your dreams.

REGION OF ITALY
If you have certain memories of a special region of Italy, tell them please. So I do understand better, why you choose certain landscapes, cities, cultures and can develop them together with my proposals.

CIVIL OR CHURCH WEDDING
when I ask about citizenship or the background of your religion, this is not meant to be curious.
But different nationalities have different ways of preparation for the burocracy for a civil wedding here in Italy. And for the church weddings, as we mainly have catholic churches in Italy with quite a strong link to Rome and the Pope, it is important to know where you are coming from. Mainly the catholic parishes in Italy ask for bride AND groom to be catholic, only sometimes it is possible to have a catholic wedding with one partner being of another religion. Continue Reading »

All the readers who follow us will have noticed the wonderful images that accompany Stefania’s posts, our wedding planner for Lake Bracciano. Many of her works are photographed by Alessandro Zingone, a photographer specialized in weddings in this beautiful lake and on the outskirts of Rome.

The studio of Alessandro Zingone is directly in Bracciano, just below the Odescalchi castle walls, famous for hosting the wedding of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.

The photographic style of Alessandro Zingone, based on the most absolute spontaneity goes well beyond the usual concepts of wedding photography: thanks to a clever post production, its images are transformed into works of art, full of colors and shades, full of intensity and pathos.

The recent post by Stefania A romantic church on Lake Bracciano, dedicated to the marriage of Francesca and Pigi on Lake Bracciano, is a perfect demonstration of the style and technique of Alessandro Zingone.

Lake Bracciano is a short distance from Rome, where Alessandro Zingone often works as a wedding photographer.
Have a look at these images taken at the Circo Massimo Rome, Villa d’Este in Tivoli and Ostia Lido beach near Rome. Continue Reading »

Instruction for use: take Mariana and Matteo’s wedding Get married… and have a good time on Lake Orta, then take Browen and Josh’s wedding… do you remember it?
The young couple who eloped to Lake Orta secretly? Let’s shake… and here we are Rebecca and Marcus’ wedding a perfect mix of romanticism, intimacy and… fun.

Just like Bronwen and Josh, Rebecca and Marcus are coming from Australia too.
They always had a deep love for Italy and they choose it for their wedding!
First they opted for Rome but then Rebecca found out intimate atmosphere of Lake Orta and that was their final choice!

Rebecca and Marcus a love elope for an intimate wedding on Lake Orta!
It was romantic but also fun and you can really feel it from great pictures taken by Maren Ollmann and Piero Ottaviano who perfectly took the spirit of the event!
The photos you can see here speak from themselves but we invite you to have a look to the amazing PHOTO-GALLERY with the entire service this lovely couple of photographers realized for the event.

From a photographic point of view a wedding for two could be difficult. The only characters are bride and groom and nobody else. There is no reception, emotion of the guests, flower girls, bridesmaids and their wonderful dresses and all the typical atmosphere of a wedding.
In spite of that Maren and Piero are able to do a lively photo service where you can see emotion and lot of joy. This is not common at all! Continue Reading »

Lake Bracciano is for sure one of the best Lake spot on Southern Lakes but we do not have to forget Rome the Eternal City.
What to say about Rome?
Everything has been already said and written about Rome but how can we miss it?
We do work on lakes but since Bracciano is so close to Rome we wanted to mention it for a while.

If you are coming to Italy a visit to this amazing city will make your staying even more magic!
Rome has the appeal of immortality and eternity just like a neverending love!

Then if you are looking for a very romantic wedding the best solution could be a wedding for two in Rome!
I planned sweetheart wedding or elopes for just the bride and groom in Rome and there were simply amazing. A romantic civil ceremony or even a religious or better a symbolic wedding in one of the ancient building of Rome or on open air just facing Coliseum or Imperial Forums.

Just like Tony and Keith who got married in Tivoli Villa d’Este and their frescoed rooms. Or Cheryl and Rob who got married in Rome itself just by the ancient ruins.
Or Daniela and Giuseppe who got married just by Caracalla Steam Bath built more than 200 year ago! Continue Reading »
