We can only say that the first of the first ceremony has been held in Moltrasio on Lake Como and second one on Lake Maggiore in Stresa.

Just few minutes drive from Lake Garda there is Venice.
Here boat is the only way to get around, especially on a wedding day. Francesca and Nicola’s wedding was celebrated in a secluded and exclusive island of the lagoon!

You can imagine bride’s excitement and happiness, when she got onto the water taxi to get to the wedding ceremony!

Francesca and Nicola choose to celebrate their union in the beautiful Church of Santa Fosca. It was built around the IX century with a Venetian-Byzantine style on the Torcello island which is situated between the worldwide famous Murano and Burano villages.

They were looking for a very special, important and cosy venue, were they could be away from tourists of Venice but where they could still enjoy its timeless beauty and secret. This venue has a special aura of majesty and enabled couples and their guests to share something very intimate and beautiful.

Torcello satisfied their desires. Ancient, small fishermen village, where everything is closely – including the restaurant where Francesca and Nicola’s reception was held! Here you will feel the simplicity and authenticity of the past!

Our photographer Riccardo Bestetti, was able to follow bride and groom discretely to catch the most important moments with their delicate and ephemeral emotional nuances. We especially appreciated Riccardo Bestetti’s black and white shots, the dramatic contrast showing the pathos of emotions: love, tenderness, joy.

He was able to add an touch of timeliness to the whole ceremony while capturing an unexpected point of view of situations! When a group of kayaks gathered in front of the restaurant patio, Riccardo Bestetti made it look like as if they were actually there to bring their homage to the new couple!

What could be a better place than Italy? A country full of story, sharing with its lovers hidden niches of infinite beauty.
During their visit around the Lake Garda, after visiting many characteristic villages and famous locations,Steve and Sarah came across a tiny well kept village in the North of the Lake called Malcesine. In this location filled with colorful little artisan shops, family run restaurants and the superb surrounding nature, they finally found what they were looking for!
The venue to tie the knot was Scaligero Castle, stately rising from the village promontory! The Castle has a very long and rich history. It had many owners who kept it polished and magnificent through the centuries. It was built in the first millennium by the Lombards and then destroyed and rebuilt by the Franks. From there on, it has been a jewel in the hands either of Republic of Venice, of Austrian-Hungarian Empire, of France and of many Italian lineages. Then it was declared National Monument in 1206.
In this rare pearl set in a fairy tale landscape, Steve and Sarah decided to celebrate their most important event as a couple: their wedding!

When the day finally arrived, everything was ready for their wonderful ceremony, young page boys and flower girls, cheerful guests were waiting for this very important day. Cascades of flowers were awaiting the couple for their vows exchange!

Our skillful photographers from Photo 27 Studio were able to capture unique shots, so delicate and important but so qucik to vanish in a heartbeat. We love especially the following photo, Sarah’s farewell to her previous life and Steve’s waiting, longing to start his new life with Sarah… and finally they exchanged vows and rings!

Classical music, played by artists our great Joy Ensemble Duo (Violin and Cello) in the background, added a touch of uniqueness and elegance to their YES!

For this special occasion musicians played some classical tunes by their repertoire.
Some other were expressively requested by bride and groom as Viavaldi Four Seasons and Fields of Gold by Sting.

From the very first email I appreciate how sweet and kind Donna was.
Mark and her had in mind a wonderful idea…. getting married outside on a rock overlooking a wonderful undiscovered spot of Italy.
Suggestion that came to my mind immediately was: Madonna del Sasso view!

So we decided to arrange all around this.
Donna and Mark arrived in Italy reaching Venice as first destination.
Then they traveled across Lake District, Lake Garda, Lake Como and they finally reached lovely Lake Orta the location they chose for their wedding.

On the day of the wedding the a warm sun of May blessed the day and all was ready for the intimate ceremony on Madonna del Sasso rock.

Mark left the hotel before Donna to reach the breathtaking rock of Madonna del Sasso while Donna was still getting ready and have some pictures with her wonderful bouquet created by Monika and Paola from La Piccola Selva.
Wonderful roses, peonies and a touch of blue… scented lavender!

Donna was one of the sweetest bride I ever had but she is a very sporty and firm woman! She is a sport racing driver!
She loves cars and bikes and she wanted a wonderful Italian car to take her to her wedding ceremony. Something vintage… Italian …a wonderful 50s Lancia Appia.

After a pleasant drive through the nature Donna reached Madonna del Sasso Rock. She was wordless….the view was stunning and Mark was waiting for her in the peace of this enchanting place.

Our professional celebrant Giuseppe was waiting for her with Mark just on the edge of the rock to perform a moving and intense ceremony overlooking a magnificent view.
This was exactly what Donna and Mark dreamt for their wedding: a wedding in the nature overlooking a unique and natural show.

After the moving and very intimate ceremony Donna and Mark took some pictures in the little garden in front of the Church of Madonna del Sasso and inside the church. The parish priest came also to congratulate and this was one of the sweetest moment of the day… he offered some sugared almonds to the couple just to wish good luck!

After the ceremony Donna and Mark came back to Orta village for some pictures and some more to St Julius Island.
Being in love with nature they decided to reach it with a rowing boat…..so romantic!

A little walk in the tiny roads of the Island and then back to Orta for a magic dinner to the restaurant of Hotel San Rocco.

Donna and Mark spent some more days in Orta and drove back to Milan to come back to US….they will definitely come back in Italy soon to enjoy some more of our wonderful country!

Luxury! Passion! Perfection!

…These are all words that come into our mind looking at these beautiful pictures taken from Emma and Mark‘s wedding album.
Wonderful Venetian just filled the air with more pathos, enhancing the dramatic atmosphere of the city: a perfect scenario for a special wedding!
Our very great photographer Beatrice Mancini had absolute perfect timing to capture these unique moments of tenderness and joy between our newly weds!!

As you can see from these pictures, style is part of their everyday life: they work and live in one of the most interesting parts of London.

They run a vintage fashion shop in Camden Town and with full pride and limpid self confidence; they adopted such style for their absolutely perfect wedding in Venice.

Venice, the city on water where… sometimes water rises, leaving estimators walking literally into water!

This is what happened to Emma! And she appreciateed the charming and timeless Venice in all its shades. She grasped the playful side of the acqua alta and with joyful nonchalance took off her shoes and decided to add a creative edge to her wedding, ending up to actually having fun!

This is the spirit to really enjoy the uniqueness of Venice!

Their sophisticated but informal style perfectly matched the retro’ Venetian atmosphere and our skilled photographer magnificently managed to catch the delicate beauty of this event.

Venice is the perfect city if you are looking for an intimate ceremony or also if you wish to share your special day with the people you care about most, like Emma and Mark did.
They decided to get married in the town hall, a decision that also matched perfectly their style, shared also by the best man and maid of honor!

Venice perfectly matched their personality, and that was the base for their successful wedding event. It allowed our photographer to take pictures full of emotions, like the ones you are watching now!

The city offers wide range of beautiful, decorated palaces, full of histories and frescos, sometimes letting estimators have a hint of its luxury interiors.

Emma and Mark were also lucky to have their wedding reception in one of these beautiful venue!

After the ceremony they shared the toast to their new life with their guests while appreciating the Venetian gondolas passing by.
Once the reception was over they had the chance to explore the city and get lost in it.

Walking down the streets they could recall the splendor of this city at the time of the Doge, when everything was about excess and luxury!

They could chill walking down the narrow and very characteristics calli, so the streets of Venice are called…

When the night fell and our groom and bride mingleed with local people for the typical evening wine sipping –ombre- and enjoying the nightlife, a must in this city world known for the art of good life

Along Brenta River, not far from Venice, ancient noble Venetian families built outstanding abodes to spend their holidays, that could reflect their wealth and power.

Ideal extension of Venice onto the mainland, the ancient course of river Brenta lived from the sixteenth to the eighteenth century a golden age that made the area a favorite place of vacation of the rich Venetian nobles.

Along the river there are many villas designed by masters of Italian art. Along the centuries these places has been visited by artists, popes, kings, men of culture, envied for their beauty, perceived as country houses in which to celebrate the rite of procession on water, of sumptuous dinners, of parties lasted until dawn.
In Riviera del Brenta you can appreciate today blooming gardens of noble villas, water reflections intercepted by the statues, the gardens lapped by the current.

One of these wonderful villas was the perfect frame for Max and Valentina’s wedding.
17th century architectural complex called Villa Foscarini-Rossi hosted this special event we would love to tell you about today.

Valentina and Max opted for a religious ceremony in a church not far from the villa.
Parents, relatives and many friends were all waiting for the bride to come!
Church of Sanctuary of Madonna in Borbiago bride and groom chose, was adorned with beautiful white roses to keep theme Valentina wanted: very charming and romantic!

During the ceremony, the smooth sound of harp and violin made the atmosphere even more magical.

Outside the Church all guests waited for newly weds for the traditional rice and red rose petals throwing which is a very good wish of good luck in Italy. Have a look to the fancy baskets and wraps containing rice cones for throwing…a sweet idea the bride had for her guests!

About six o’clock in the evening, Valentina and Max, after a lovely boat tour reached by boat private pier of villa for their reception.

Under the beautiful sun of July, guests had their delicious and traditional Veneto aperitif in the Italian garden and wonderful portico.

The evening continued inside, in the frescoed hall.
While music accompanied the event, the wealth of paintings and golden light floods in through the old windows overlooking the garden was the setting for a refined dinner based on typical dishes of the Venetian tradition reinterpreted with sage creativity.

Here’s the end of this wonderful day … back outside, illuminated by soft light of candles and chandeliers always ravished by fresh flowers the cutting of the cake was another suggestive moment of this elegant reception.

Today we are discovering Gardone Riviera together with Kate and Kevin and wonderful pictures taken by Alfonso Longobardi one of the best and most wanted Italian wedding photographer. His weddings have been published in both Italian and UK magazines and he is a WPJA (Wedding Photo Journalist Association) competition prize winner.

Kate and Kevin are a lovely English couple in love with Italy.
They toured it from North to South and when they reached Lake Garda they discovered Gardone Riviera and so they decided that it needed to be there!

Gardone Riviera is located just 40 minutes drive from Verona and 1 hour drive from Venice. A perfect position for your Italian Wedding!
Gardone Riviera is surrounded by amazing green hills with thousand of olives grooves and lots of cypresses reminding Tuscany landscapes. Gardone is an enchanting village with quaint narrow roads, a lovely lakeside walk, amazing historical buildings, elegant boutiques, bistros and restaurants.

Kate and Kevin chose a civil ceremony in the town hall of Gardone Riviera.

Town hall of Gardone Riviera is a lovely villa of 1700 built in liberty style in the heart of the quaint village.
The villa has an amazing park with exotic and mediterranean vegetation.
At the entrance you will find a great marble staircase and in the inside there are antiques and wonderful paintings.
The room where civil ceremonies are held has a stunning frescoed ceiling.

After the ceremony Kate and Kevin took a short walk on the lakeside in Gardone Riviera village. Alfonso Longobardi took the chance to take fantastic wedding shots! Have a look!

Kate and Kevin arranged their wedding reception in Gardone Riviera in an evocative villa of 1800. The villa has a wonderful neo classical facade facing Lake Garda waters.

Park of the villa recalls they classical landscape of Lombardy side of Lake Garda with olives, cypresses… such a perfect frame for Kate and Kevin’s wedding cake!

Villa gives the possibility to arrange and outdoor reception on a lovely lawn on the lake shores a dreamy setting don’t you think so?

The villa is part of a big monumental and historical complex which includes Villa Alba – used for congress and exhibitions – and San Marco tower.

San Marco Tower was built at the beginning of 1900 by the owner fo Villa Alba: Richard Langensiepen. He was a famous German business man.
San Marco Tower was an observatory and it is just on the lake shores.
In 1925 it was purchased by Italian poets Gabriele D’Annunzio. He transformed the German gothic style of the villa into a Venetian Military style. The tower became an enlargement of Vittoriale and the name changed from Ruhland Tower into San Marco Tower.

Between 1943 and 1944 San Marco Tower was the place where Benito Mussolini and his lover the actress Claretta Petacci met secretly.
A famous love story for this special place that today is the unique scenery for all brides and grooms who choose Gardone Riviera for their wedding on Lake Garda.
Just like Kate and Kevin did.

Once the location was decided, it could start the teamwork of the Russian and Italian wedding planners. Misha, the head of the Russian wedding planner team, was the creative author of the event, ensuring to respect the Russian traditions very important both for the spouses and the guests. While the Italian team was responsible for the scene, the decorations and the realization of the creative ideas together with our trusted, professional suppliers. After a lot of working hours during the day and night, videoconferences through skype with the spouses, and finally the BIG day has arrived. Actually, it was not just the day itself, but a complete weekend with 3 days program, full of surprises for the guests…

After an exciting and funny treasure hunting in Venice, the wedding party arrived in Desenzano the night before. Followed by a hectic morning with the preparations, the guests arrived In the villa, where a refreshing rich aperitif welcomed them in the loan area, with delicious fingerfood and lot of champagne to admire the scene on comfortable sofas and pillows. Little white fans were offered to the women, to be able to support better the hot temperature. Soft jazz music gave background to the peaceful moment. Then the special wedding guest ( a tradition in Russia) called the guests to join him in front of the stage, decorated with the romantic white huppah and lively red flowers in huge white glass vases.

After the entrance of the Groom and the Bridesmaids, finally Olesya has appeared on the water, in a little fishing boat. A man in a sailor’s striped vest was rowing the boat, then slowed down in front of the guests to allow to everybody the celebrate the Bride’s arrival. Then the boat went to the pier, where Mothers of the groom and the bride met Olesya, holding candles in their hands.

After the romantic ceremony under the huppah, the guests took place at the tables, decorated with a fabulous flower cup in the middle and apples signaling the places of each guests. And this is the point when the wedding started to be very different from the italian weddings: in the breaks between the different plates of the dinner, various entertaining activities ensured that the guests are having fun. They had “fake” waiters turning up as singers with traditional italian songs, a little “group work” to build sketches with objects taken from different nations’ wedding traditions, a creative corner where every guests could create his/her own personalized venetian mask, a caricaturist to make funny drawing of the participants. But the main spectacle was the first dance of the newly wed spouses, who danced a romantic classical ballet piece (as both of them are found of classical ballet, and the Bride practicing also actively this beautiful art).

Obviously, fireworks couldn’t be missing to complete this very special evening, together with a romantic slideshow projection of the photos of Olesya & Fedor in Venice, few days before the wedding. Music and dance closed the event, while the surprise limousine (organized by the groom) didn’t come to take the spouses to their hotel to their first night as husband and wife….

And it still did not finish: the day after a relaxing boat trip was offered to the guests to exploit better lake Garda before leaving our beautiful lakeshores.

We take the opportunity to say a big thank you for the Russian wedding planner team, and all our suppliers for this amazing weekend, and we wish again all the best and forever love to Olesya & Fedor!
