We already mentioned other times the great importance of having a good one to have a perfect reception.
Today we would love to introduce a different catering company. It was founded and grew up on the lakes and this allowed it to have a wide experience in most important villas, castles, wedding venue on Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta.
This is an important detail to consider while choosing a catering service for your reception.

We are talking about Delicatezze a Casa Vostra, a banqueting and catering company. Staff chose as their headquarter an ancient cascina and farm situated in Gravellona Toce just in the middle between Lake Orta and Lake Maggiore.
Side for being close to some of the most important venues on our lakes this special match between cuisine and nature make a guaranty of genuine products and gastronomic quality.

Delicatezze a Casa Vostra Catering company was born several years ago thanks to the meeting of two important chefs of the area. After several experience in Italy and abroad they decided to found this company to provide innovative idea of Italian cuisine to receptions and parties in the area. Continue Reading »

Today we would love to speak you about another dreamy wedding: Amy and Kevin’s one.
Amy and Kevin are both Americans and they choose the wonderful scenarios of Lake Maggiore for their Italian Wedding.

For Italian Lakes Wedding Team our musicians of Koinè String Quartet were present. They created the perfect soundtrack for this lovely event on the lake shores with their enchanting music.

It was just amazing playing in such a wonderful and romantic frame.
The weather seemed to be grey but at the end the sun came out unexpectedly just few minutes before the ceremony. The sun was just as a guest invited by bride and groom and He could not say no!
Silvia – Koinè String Quartet
This wedding was arranged between Stresa and Pallanza with a Belle Epoque style of Grand Hotel des Iles Borromées in Stresa and spectacular Villa Rusconi in Pallanza.

Grand Hotel des Iles Borromées is one of the best and most luxury hotels on Lake Maggiore. It is located on Stresa lakeside facing Borrome Islands. The hotel recalls golden times of Belle Epoque thanks to its frescos and plasters. Continue Reading »

As the administrator for Italian Lakes Wedding it is rare that I have the opportunity to meet our brides and grooms ‘to be’ in person. Face to face meetings are usually the perogative of the wedding planner, floral designers, photographers and other professionals involved with the wedding day itself. I was fortunate enough to have met Lina quite by chance during Melanie and David’s ceremony at Villa Rusconi. In my modest opinion Lina and Borja’s wedding at Lake Maggiore was indeed the event of the year, making July 17th 2010 a memorable date!

Lina is a young girl of Chinese origin but 100% Italian. Born and raised in Verbania, she has travelled extensively including Japan, China and The United States before choosing to live with Borja in Spain. What struck me most about Lina was her great enthusiasm and profound affection for her home town and the surrounding area of Lago Maggiore. This played a huge part in her decision to select Verbania as the destination of her wedding day, also because it was an opportuntity to share her love of the area with guests, in order that they too could experience the pleasure of discovering the extraordinary beauty of this area.
Her emotional attachment transformed Lina into a kind of honourary Ambassador for Lake Maggiore, at least for a day!

Lina and Borja’s wedding was indeed a fantastic blend of different cultures and traditions: more than 200 guests coming especially from all over the world attended, notably those from Spain, America, Japan, Italy and China (some of whom are also residents of Italy).

We felt extremely fortunate about how things turned out and had decided that it would be wonderful to marry in my home town, especially because we will spend most of our time in Madrid.
For me Verbania is the place in which I was born as well as a beautiful location. I feel so proud to have been able to share this wonderful place with others who have never visited and perhaps didn’t even know about its existence. All of our friends from elsewhere were very impressed by what they saw and by all the close attention to detail.
- Lina
Great attention to detail was definitely a main feature of Lina and Borja’s wedding. Nothing was left to chance… from the wedding decorations for the ceremony and dinner, the video set up complete with steady cam and crane, to the flower arrangements, music and above all… the bride’s especially designed wedding dress and groom’s unique apparel.

My wedding dress was designed by Rosario Diaz, a stylist from Madrid. Rosario Diaz is an expert in designing and creating individual wedding dresses. We chose Rosario because he exclusively designed a wedding dress for Borja’s sister.
The hunt for my own dress started with other ateliers but none of them convinced me completely. Rosario showed us various kinds of fabric that had just arrived and I completely fell in love with material with a floral motif and ‘shredded’ effect made by laser that became the base of the gown. Today I’d like to go back a little in time to talk about Melanie and David’s special day, which was our last wedding of the spring season.
Melanie and David are a delightful couple hailing respectively from England and the United States. For their Italian wedding they chose the fantastic setting of Villa Rusconi Clerici by the shores of Lago Maggiore.
Their wedding was the last Spring event but the first to welcome the summer! Melanie and David opted for a wedding based on sunflowers and lemons, which are typically warm and sunny mediterranean themes.

This was perfectly highlighted by glorious sunshine which thankfully arrived after a few days of bad weather. Their wedding was characterised by a limpid blue lake, a light breeze that chased away the clouds and bright green of the landscape all around. An exceptional contrast of colour made the various yellow hues used in the arrangement designed by Monika and myself, stand out even more.

The event was organized by Valentina, Italian Lakes Wedding’s experienced wedding planner, who has become a true expert in weddings taking place at Villa Rusconi Clerici.
I planned this event in collaboration with my lovely and valued colleague, Stefania who is based in the Southern Lakeside regions of Italy, (including Lake Bracciano) but who occasionally assists us here in the Northern Lakes.
It was such a pleasure to have assisted Melanie, who was one of the most co-operative brides of this year. As a couple our bride and groom ‘to be’ complemented one another perfectly. Melanie was an incredibly stylish American Bride and David, a very handsome British Groom. They had enjoyed their first vacation together in our country and so had their hearts set on Italy as the destination for their special day. We had to plan certain details at relatively short notice but Melanie was precise and punctual, which made working with her a sheer delight!
Valentina – wedding planner

I was inspired by Melanie’s creative ideas and pleased to offer suggestions based on my vast experience of organizing weddings in the area. It was fulfilling to collaborate with the Bride and help make her dream of a stunning and sophisticated wedding at Lake Maggiore come true.
Melanie and David expressed a desire for a romantic blessing ceremony, (tastefully and thoughtfully conducted by Celebrants, Giuseppe and Diane) and their vision of an elegant and chic countryside event was realised at Villa Rusconi Clerici, one of the most romantic locations in the area.
Paola from La Piccola Selva helped us to achieve the required atmosphere by designing beautiful arrangements of country style flowers with a touch of elegance, a consistent trademark of La Piccola Selva.
We selected only the most professional catering service, whose culinary skills contributed to the overall success of the event held exclusively at the Villa. The Bride and Groom were treated to a sumptuous aperitif with their wedding guests in the grounds, followed by an enchanting dinner by the majestic lake. This was an intimate wedding and certainly one of the most romantic of the season!
Valentina – wedding planner

When Valentina introduced me to Melanie, I soon realised that our bride had precise ideas concerning the theme of her wedding. She wanted a flower arrangement with a typical mediterranean flavour, cheerful and sunny, based on yellow tones. The choice was soon made to include the complementary characteristics of lemons and sunflowers.

Lisa and Darren are another lovely English couple who chose the end of August for their wedding on the lakes. A very good choice considering the wonderful sunny days that we usually have on Italian Lakes at the end of August. A great sky with a mild and not too hot temperature.

The entire event took place to Villa Rusconi Clerici in Pallanza on Lake Maggiore. Lisa and Darren had their blessing in the garden of the villa by the shores. Ceremony was conducted by Diane Wheeler.
Then they had a lovely aperitif in the garden, followed by a second aperitif on a big boat for everybody with 1 hour tour of the lake and an elegant dinner in the pavilion of the villa.
Dances and a bath on the lake to follow!

Fuchsia pink together with white of hydangeas were the theme colors Lisa chose for her flowers.
We will come back soon speaking about these and other details of this lovely wedding on Lake Maggiore in the following week. Just enjoy these first pictures!

We’ve mentioned this lovely news in our Just Married section. This was one of the most important event of 2010 Summer Season on Italian Lakes: Daniel and Tessa’s wedding on Lake Maggiore.

It was a real honor for Italian Lakes Wedding Team hosting Tessa Brix wedding. We worked hard to make this happen and to let Tessa and Daniel enjoy their event in every single detail.
Valentina Lombardi – our planner for Lake Maggiore – followed the planning event, Monika Andenmatten followed floral design. Enrico Mocci was the photographer chosen by Tessa and Daniel to be their official photographer for their Big Day.

admin on Apr 18th 2010 Videography
Photography covers an important role within the contest of a unique event such as a wedding. This because a photograph can catch all the unforgettable instants of the Great Day. But it is only a matter of instants. Where photography does not arrive, video can.
It consists in the capacity to tell the story as if it was a film, with voices, movements, words and joyful scenes…
We are not speaking of a home made video, but a real film, with its clear storytelling, climaxes and flow. It will be professionally post produced and edited. A film that can support pictures, but not substitute them. It can be a unique support to memory of the day if the videographer was able to catch all the unforgettable moments within the flow of the day.
There are many moments in which video which becomes even more important and essential than photos. During the dinner party and the dances for example.
Do you remember Loretta and Scott wedding at Villa Rusconi Clerici on Lake Maggiore?
Team of Myitalianwedding were present. From the full 30 minutes long video. We have extracted the final part for the party to the Villa.

Ability in the editing, slow motions, black and white conversions, wonderful music, to express joy emotions and climaxes. All this concentrated in three fantastic videos.
Team of Myitalianwedding is not only a video service, it can offer also high quality professional PHOTOGRAPHY service. We offer a mix of natural photojournalism and formal and elegant photography.

Please have a look at selected photographs taken during Lorettas’ and Scott wedding.
