Many among the images posted come from the wedding of a lovely couple coming from Milan: Laura and Andrea.
Today we would love see some more details of Laura and Andrea’s wedding on Lake Orta.

First of all we need to explain the title for this post!
It was a bet because Laura and Andrea booked Orta Beach Club before its inauguration with all the risks you could imagine.
It was a winning bet because it turned out in a great choice from every point of view!
Let’s go step by step!

Laura and Andrea come from Peschiera Borromeo a small village close to Milan. It is famous for its WWF natural park.
Many years ago it was the hunting reserve of Borromeo Counts, the same noble family of Borromeo Islands and Stresa.

For their civil ceremony Laura and Andrea had a look to many venues around Milan and lakes but nothing was more beautiful than Villa Bossi!
They fell in love with it!

Bride arriving by boat, the garden on the shores and St. Julius Island as background was surely the perfect frame and Laura and Andrea decided very quickly to book.

Laura and Andrea looked around for their reception venue, they were looking for something elegant but informal and they really did not want something too elegant such a villa or a restaurant in the village.

By chance they drove side of one of the beaches close to Orta San Giulio and they discovered that the beach club was going to open soon!
After meeting very professional Samuele and Luca, venue managers, Laura and Andrea decided that Orta Beach Club was the one!

Laura and Andrea’s bid day was planned for 6 August 2011 a wonderful sunny day!
After the ceremony bride and groom took a walk in the lovely and romantic little roads of Orta. Enrico Mocci one of our great photographers on Lake Orta took the photos of this special events and you can see them here.

After the sunset on the lake, the dinner prepared with all local and fusion and multiethnic food on the terrace has been served on the terrace with the lovely music of a jazz band as background.

As many could know Lake Bracciano area is a Natural reserve a special corner bucolic countryside. Bracciano and Martignano Natural Park was established in 1999 to protect such a beautiful area and for nature lovers planning a wedding in a Natural Park just close to eternal city of Rome could be a great occasion!

This oasis of green and water , in the heart of roman countryside, is an area where the ancient romans used to build their patrician villa used for their vacations.

The villa we would like to talk you about today was part of a huge estate which used to host ancient roman soldiers on their way to Rome. Isn’t it mazing? Thinking about planning your wedding in a place where ancient romans used to stay? This can happen only close to Rome!

While admiring the landscape, you still can see tangible evidences of Ancient Romas past, like Acquedotto Paolo an ancient romans aqueduct that rounds the estate. Just think that it was built before Christ and it is still there!

The castle was a nice scene for wedding photos. Maurizio and Judith did enjoy their day very much. It was sunny, 120 good humor friends and family were around them, as well as the team of wedding planners consisted by Britta, Romana and Romy from Italian Lakes Wedding – Creative Wedding team.

It started with the catholic wedding in the church of Padenghe, then followed by a easy aperitivo in front of the Agriturismo Pratello. This agriturismo has next to his farmhouse an elegant villa, so this is used for the wedding reception.
A wonderful wedding dinner was served, an typical Italian duo with Francesca and Davide did bring atmosphere into the evening and after the delicious plates there was much time for dancing.

At midnight there was not only the cutting of the cake, but Britta has prepared 100 water lanterns that were set into the swimming pool. Each guest had to think a good wish for bride and groom, when placing the lotus flower with tealight onto the water. It is said that those wishes will come true, if they are not loudly spoken, but just internly thought.

Another important point was the vintage car. But not just a luxury car, no it had to be an Italian branded oldtimer, look how stylish this Fiat Spider.

Last but not least let me mention the flowers, callas and the colors white and green were the base of the decoration all over. Very much in tonality with the surrounding nature.

Diese Burg war ein wunderbarer Background für die Hochzeitsfotos. Es war sonnig, 120 gutgelaunte Gäste waren angereist und dazu natürlich das Wedding Team von Creative Wedding – Italian Lakes Wedding team.

Der Nachmittag begann mit der Kirchentrauung in Padenghe, gefolgt von einem leckeren Umtrunk vor dem Agriturismo Pratello. Der Agriturismo hat nebenan noch eine schöne Villa stehen, welche für Hochzeitsdinner benutzt wird. Köstlichkeiten wurden dort serviert, begleitet von einem typischen italienischen Musik-Duo mit Francesca und Davide. Im Anschluss war noch sehr viel Zeit zum ausgiebigen Tanzen.

Um Mitternacht wurde nicht nur die Hochzeitstorte angeschnitten, sondern Britta von Creative Wedding hatte auch 100 Wasserlanternen vorbereitet, die von den Gästen mit einem frohen Hochzeitswunsch auf den Pool gesetzt wurden. Es wird gesagt, dass die Wünsche nur dann wahr werden, wenn sie nicht laut ausgesprochen werden. So ergab sich hier eine sehr romantische und bewegende Situation.

Ein anderes gut überlegtes Detail war das Hochzeitsauto. Nicht irgendein Luxuswagen, sondern ein stilechter Italiener sollte es sein, ein Fiat Spider.

Zuletzt lasst mich auch die Blumendekoration erwähnen. Calla und die gesamte Tonalität in weiss und grün, sodass dies im Einklang mit der umgebenen Natur stand.

Anya and Misha came from far away – Russia – to get married on this wonderful and charming Italian Lake.
Their marriage was celebrated on 29 April in a splendid Private Villa located in Cernobbio, on Lake Como.

Their event, despite the rain, which add a bit of dramatic feeling to the wedding, was fabulous from the atmosphere to the gorgeous floral decoration in green and white tones with thousand candles and apples and the delicious wedding dinner with party to follow with music and lot of happiness!

However I would like to show you today an other side of Malcesine.
Tracey and Stephen came to Malcesine for a romantic holiday in 2009, and they fell in love with the place. No doubt they wanted to have their wedding here! They wanted a religious wedding instead of a civil one so we found for them a private, intimate venue for their 40 guests wedding. First, they looked around by themselves to find a venue that could answer to their needs of privacy, intimacy. As they couldn’t find the location of their dreams, Tracey and Stephen contacted us for help.

After long search, we have found the perfect venue for them, and we also found the authorization of Don Giuseppe of Parish church of Malcesine to have a religious ceremony over here. The planning could start in details for 20th of July 2010, the day of the wedding!
A one year of planning flew away quickly to reach the big day. While girls were having their hair done to hairdresser, boys were enjoying a refreshing beer on the lakeshore.
The church was decorated with a lot of sunflowers and white roses, to represent sunshine, happiness and deep optimism of the couple.

The Intimate, and very romantic ceremony was conducted by Don Dominic, who was so kind to come to Malcesine and celebrate the wedding in English, allowing the couple and the guests to feel like home.

A refreshing, rich aperitif waited the newley weds and their guests at the bar side of the church after the ceremony. Italian prosecco, hot and cold canapés, and little delicious fingerfood prepared by the bar owners were the main attracion! Then we took a comfortable, air conditioned bus to reach the wedding venue kept secret as a surprise! It was an amazing and well hidden private villa behind the mountains, in the green countryside. Wow -effect was really guaranteed with its Arabic style! The beautiful villa had also a wide garden, where children could run play and parents could be relaxed too. You can imagine how happy they were when they also found a huge inflatable slipper!

The reception was arranged outside in the green, under protecting shade of trees, enjoying delicious food prepared by a skillful catering. Dancing and music completed the event, together with a little sweet “performance” of the kids on the dancefloor, and open-bar opened until late night.

We can ensure this was not the typical Malcesine wedding, but we are sure we were glad that we could help Tracy and Steve to realize their dream!

Once the location was decided, it could start the teamwork of the Russian and Italian wedding planners. Misha, the head of the Russian wedding planner team, was the creative author of the event, ensuring to respect the Russian traditions very important both for the spouses and the guests. While the Italian team was responsible for the scene, the decorations and the realization of the creative ideas together with our trusted, professional suppliers. After a lot of working hours during the day and night, videoconferences through skype with the spouses, and finally the BIG day has arrived. Actually, it was not just the day itself, but a complete weekend with 3 days program, full of surprises for the guests…

After an exciting and funny treasure hunting in Venice, the wedding party arrived in Desenzano the night before. Followed by a hectic morning with the preparations, the guests arrived In the villa, where a refreshing rich aperitif welcomed them in the loan area, with delicious fingerfood and lot of champagne to admire the scene on comfortable sofas and pillows. Little white fans were offered to the women, to be able to support better the hot temperature. Soft jazz music gave background to the peaceful moment. Then the special wedding guest ( a tradition in Russia) called the guests to join him in front of the stage, decorated with the romantic white huppah and lively red flowers in huge white glass vases.

After the entrance of the Groom and the Bridesmaids, finally Olesya has appeared on the water, in a little fishing boat. A man in a sailor’s striped vest was rowing the boat, then slowed down in front of the guests to allow to everybody the celebrate the Bride’s arrival. Then the boat went to the pier, where Mothers of the groom and the bride met Olesya, holding candles in their hands.

After the romantic ceremony under the huppah, the guests took place at the tables, decorated with a fabulous flower cup in the middle and apples signaling the places of each guests. And this is the point when the wedding started to be very different from the italian weddings: in the breaks between the different plates of the dinner, various entertaining activities ensured that the guests are having fun. They had “fake” waiters turning up as singers with traditional italian songs, a little “group work” to build sketches with objects taken from different nations’ wedding traditions, a creative corner where every guests could create his/her own personalized venetian mask, a caricaturist to make funny drawing of the participants. But the main spectacle was the first dance of the newly wed spouses, who danced a romantic classical ballet piece (as both of them are found of classical ballet, and the Bride practicing also actively this beautiful art).

Obviously, fireworks couldn’t be missing to complete this very special evening, together with a romantic slideshow projection of the photos of Olesya & Fedor in Venice, few days before the wedding. Music and dance closed the event, while the surprise limousine (organized by the groom) didn’t come to take the spouses to their hotel to their first night as husband and wife….

And it still did not finish: the day after a relaxing boat trip was offered to the guests to exploit better lake Garda before leaving our beautiful lakeshores.
