I am happy that you consider a good idea getting married in Italy during Christmas time!
Though it is winter, the weather is seldom very cold and windy on the Italian lakes : you need not to be too lucky to enjoy beautiful, mild sunny days!

But also bad weather may provide a wonderful scenery for an unconventional wedding: imagine having your wedding party in an elegant villa, in a warm and cosy room, where your family and friends gather around fireplaces, drinking hot chocolate or hot wine… this makes me think of a famous old song “The weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful, since we’ve no place to go, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!”

As for the food, you can have a wide choice of dishes that are cooked for Christmas or in winter and that are typical of the northern part of Italy: all these dishes are part of a not well known and not yet spoiled Italian culture, so you can offer your guests something very special and unusual!

If you like skying, you can choose to spend some days on the mountains: Italian lakes are sorrounded by the most beautiful mountain resorts in Italy!
Hotels with SPA and other facilities may suggest you to stay some more days …

But let’s talk about what I love most: music!
As I always say, music is the soundtrack of your wedding, therefore it is very important and it can really make the difference!
At Christmas time you can have a very special and unconventional soundtrack: Christmas music. Christmas songs can give to the ceremony and the party different moods: intimate, joyful, spiritual…
Christmas music offers a wide range of choice, that goes from classic to traditional, from popular to dance and rock music: all classic composers wrote special music for Christmas, there are traditional songs and hymns, jazz singers sang hundreds of songs for Christmas, and pop stars keep on releasing new songs dedicated to the “most wonderful time of the year!”.
It can be very easy to choose between all these possibilities the right music for the ceremony, the right song for the cutting of the cake and for the new married couple’s first dance… and you can be sure that any of the song or music you choose for these moments will be original and not always the same music you hear at weddings!
