We are almost closing wedding season now but we know we have still a lot to tell you!
\nOur last Just Married post<\/em> was about July weddings<\/a> so today we would like to tell you about weddings we plan in August 2012<\/strong>!
\nWe will come soon telling you about September 2012 weddings<\/em>, last of a wonderful summer season! Our work is not finished yet for 2012… we still have some lovely Autumn weddings over our Lakes<\/em> so stay tuned!<\/p>\n

AUGUST, A HOT AND HOLIDAY MONTH ON OUR LAKES<\/h4>
August is often a difficult period to get married in Italy.
\nWith this post we would like also to tell you about something more about our country.
\nAugust is the warmest of the Summer months, temperatures could be very high. So if you are planning an August wedding, be ready for a hot sun!
\nMoreover middle of August is very celebrated in Italy. 15th of August is the day of Ferragosto<\/strong> and often this week could be a little more difficult to plan final details for a wedding. Many business are closed across Ferragosto week. Of course not in touristy areas as Italian Lakes it is difficult planning last minutes details if you plan a wedding in the middle of August.<\/p>\n

For this reason we mainly suggest beginning or end of the month just like our bride and groom did!

But let’s see our weddings on Italian Lakes!<\/p>\n

W<\/p><\/div>e opened August with Kerry and David wedding on Lake Orta<\/span> on 3rd August!
\nA wonderful and sweet couple. They planned an intimate civil ceremony at Villa Bossi<\/a> and reception at Ustaria Ca dal Rat<\/a>.
\nThe whole event was really Italian style, accordion played La Vita \u00e8 Bella<\/em> during the ceremony, traditional meal for the reception a a cake made of fruits and cheeses for bride and groom! We will come soon to tell you about this sweet wedding!<\/p>\n

3rd August: Kerry and David’s wedding on Lake Orta<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/div>\nDay after was Jade and Terry’s wedding on Lake Maggiore<\/span>.
\nA different event for them with a catholic ceremony in the wonderful church of Carciano<\/strong> close to Stresa and a magic reception at Hotel Splendid in Baveno<\/em>. <\/p>\n

<\/div>\n8rd August: Sarah and Paul<\/span> got married in Varenna on Lake Como<\/a>.
\nIt was a very intimate civil ceremony for just 20 people overlooking the lake… very romantic for sure!
\nAfter a little aperitif all were ready for a trip on the Lake to reach wonderful Bellagio<\/a>.
\nA little tour in the stunning gardens of Villa Melzi<\/em> for wedding photos and then back to Varenna for their romantic and colorful reception, just have a look to Sarah bouquet with fuchsia and green flowers.

Last wedding of first part of the month was Ryoko and Roberto’s one!<\/span>
\nThis was surely one of the most unique of the year! They got married on romantic Isola dei Pescatori<\/a>. Ceremony was held in the lovely church on the Island<\/em> and reception to follow was planned on Ristorante Verbano<\/a>.
\nRyoko is Japanese<\/strong> and for wedding she decided to wear her traditional kimono<\/em>… she was absolutely stunning! Have a look at some shots here!
\nWe will surely come back to tell you more about this lovely event!<\/p>\n

As mentioned above we preferred not to plan too many weddings across Ferragosto week. The only exception was Hangama and Marc’s wedding<\/span> on 18th August at Villa Rusconi<\/em>.
\nOur wonderful celebrants Diane and Giuseppe<\/a> conducted the ceremony in the wonderful gardens of the villa. Side of that, Hangama comes from Afghanistan<\/strong> and she really wanted some Afghan elements for this romantic ceremony!
\nShe also wanted a special bouquet with black callas<\/strong>, have a look to the photos!
\nWe will come back to speak about this wedding very soon!
\nWe came back on the lakes for 24 and 25 August week end.

On 24th of August Gisela and Stefan<\/span> got married on Lake Orta. They choose the best wedding venues on Lake Orta<\/a>. They spent their Italian holiday at Hotel Approdo.
\nThey reached Orta village with a wonderful vintage black Porche!
\nThey had a wonderful outdoor ceremony at Villa Bossi<\/strong> with an aperitif to follow at Villa Gippini<\/em> owned by San Rocco Hotel<\/a>. For their reception they choose the restaurant on St. Julius Island<\/a> a very dynamic event for sure!
\nMonika from La Piccola Selva<\/a> created a wonderful bouquet with white orchids and romantic heart shaped composition with red roses.

On the same day Angela and Jarret<\/span> got married in Pallanza, Lake Maggiore<\/a>.
\nThey had a wonderful blessing in the grounds of the villa, with aperitif to follow in the big lawn and a gourmand dinner under the pavilion overlooking the Lake.
\nOur good friend David Lichtag followed the event as photographer<\/strong> – do you remember him? He was the great photographer of Bianca and Mills wedding on Lake Como<\/a>!

24th of August: Angela and Jarret’s wedding on Lake Maggiore<\/p><\/div>\n

Day after we had two lovely events that we could not forget!<\/p>\nLydia and Ciaran<\/span> got married on Lake Bracciano<\/a>.
\nThey had a wonderful and romantic ceremony in wonderful village of Anguillara<\/strong>. The church they choose is on top of the village overlooking Lake Bracciano and it was performed by Ciaran’s brother.
\nAfter the ceremony they moved to a wonderful villa located on the Lake shores. This villa has a country feeling but it still very lake style. A sunset here is like being in a movie set!
\nOfficial photos are not ready yet, but we will come soon speaking about this wonderful and happy event with official photos too.
\nFor now you can see some of ours… we hope you love them!<\/p>\n

<\/div>\nOn the same day Bratislava and Ryan<\/span> got married on Lake Maggiore<\/a> but on Swiss side!<\/strong>
\nThey choose for their special venue Brissago Islands<\/strong>. Do you remember this venue? We spoke about this for Fiona and Scott’s wedding in the post Fiona and Scott\u2019s wedding on Brissago Islands<\/a>.
\nWe usually plan weddings on Italian side of Lake Maggiore but it was a pleasure going out of Italian border for this special event!<\/p>\n

Bratislava and Ryan’s wedding on Brissago Islands, lake Maggiore – Ticino Switzeland<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/div>\nOn 26th August we celebrate Wael and Rawan<\/span> wedding in Cernobbio on Lake Como<\/a>!
\nThey both come from Lebanon<\/strong> but they live in Dubai<\/strong>. They really wanted to celebrate their union in a private villa in Cernobbio<\/em>. Friends and family came from all over the world and they had a great fun… some details? Bride and groom arrived to the villa with a tractor<\/em>, they planned a funny photobooth and they had wonderful dances and stunning decorations.
\nDo you want to know more? We will come soon talking about this event with official photos, don’t miss it!<\/p>\n

It was a great month for sure…. thank you to all our couples and wonderful professionals we work with! It was surely a great work!
