L<\/p><\/div> ake Garda has itself almost all elements for a fantasy wedding, but this time in particular… with the combination of an enchanting island in the middle of Lake Garda<\/a> (Isola del Garda), a young couple in love and the day of the event: the evening of the 21 June<\/strong>, SUMMER SOLSTICE<\/span>, specially chosen for Katherine and Alexander\u2019s wedding.<\/p>\n

A BREATHTAKING LOCATION<\/h2>\n

Wedding location was kept secret to be a surprise up to the very last minute for most of the guests. 
\nOnly when they all got on the boat from the jetty at Gardone Riviera<\/a>, they realise that their destination was going to be unique and special one. 
\nAs the matter of fact they were on their way to Garda Island, a private island in the centre of Lake Garda<\/a>. On the island there is an ancient neo-gothic Venetian palace<\/em>. It is set in magnificent gardens and it arises just from the banks.  The villa has been owned by Cavazza family<\/strong> for generations and still is. The family live in this unique setting overlooking Lake Garda taking care of all a villa like this could require with care an passion.<\/p>\n

Katherine and Alexander\u2019s symbolic ceremony took place on the ramparts high above the waters of the lake. 
\nEverything from floral decorations<\/strong> to fans at the ceremony echoed the specific style chosen by bride and groom.<\/p>\n

\"isola-del-garda-wedding\"<\/a><\/p>\nYellow and violet were their theme colours.<\/span> Yellow from the lemons<\/strong> that grow along the banks of Lake Garda and violet for lavender<\/strong>, a reminder of all the floral essences present on this marvelous island.<\/p>\n

A FLORAL FRAME FOR AN ELEGANT CANDLELIT DINNER<\/h3>\n

After the ceremony, a refreshing aperitif awaited the guests, in the shade of a huge Bouganville tree<\/strong> that climbs on the terrace of the villa.  The view of the lake from the big terrace was framed by the classic Italian garden<\/em> with its bushes, exquisite flowerbeds and luxuriant plants: a perfect atmosphere for the longest day of the year!!<\/p>\n

Before dinner, Katherine went to the upper lodge and tossed her bouquet down to her all single ladies who were waiting with trepidation below on the garden.<\/p>\n

Right after such a great moment, everyone made their way up to the splendid lodge decorated with its fine frescoed ceiling and arches overlooking the lake. 
\nCandlelit wedding reception<\/strong> was something truly out of fairy-tale! Delicate lavender and lemon scents from the floral centrepieces<\/strong>, the backdrop for the lake that lit up slowly through the reflection of the lights from the shore was simply amazing, a remarkable, unique scene!<\/p>\n

Little bottles of Limoncello<\/strong> produced with local lemons were the perfect favor for guests!
\nAviaries and wicker baskets completed the country chic atmosphere<\/strong> of dinner at the lodge.<\/p>\n

LANTERNS AND FLOATING CANDLES, THE MAGIC OF THE NIGHT<\/h2>\n

At the end of dinner candles<\/strong> guided Katherine and Alexander\u2019s guests to the most luxurious and sumptuous part of the gardens.<\/p>\n

Here the walls of an old boathouse were completely covered with white wooden lanterns<\/strong>. A magical entrance towards a tiny bridge in the park where the wedding a lemon and lavender themed wedding cake<\/strong> awaited Katherine, Alexander and their guests.<\/p>\n

The evening continued with music and dancing under the gazebo, where the DJ had everyone bopping until the early hours.
\nBefore saying goodbye to this special island<\/a>, newlyweds and their guests released flower shaped floating lanterns. A superb close to a magical day! <\/p>\n
