A Note from the Planner<\/h4>\n

As the 2018 is approaching to end I wanted to share this wedding that was so special to me. Roget and Bree got married on Lake Garda<\/a> in Autumn and their wedding was simply amazing. Their joy and their energy created a very special event for them and their guests. \u2028They chose Lake Garda for its special atmosphere and charm.
\nOne among the wonderful venues Lake Garda has is Isola del Garda<\/strong> where Roget and Bree planned their symbolic ceremony overlooking the Lake. And for their wedding reception? A great Michelin starred restaurant<\/em> to taste gourmand food and wines of the area. Could you think about something more Italian style?<\/p>\n

Bree and Roget wanted to share all this with us and with our readers so they wrote for us this post. They did it in the most delicate and emotional way and we are proud to share it. Autumn wedding on Lake Garda<\/h2>\n

A<\/p><\/div> digital wink began Roget and Bree\u2019s journey to a real world fairy-tale wedding. It was through OKCupid that the New Yorkers met, but it was their first date at Ayza, a chocolate and wine bar in Midtown Manhattan, where sparks flew. <\/p>\n

Unable to resist romantic lounges with roaring fireplaces, it was a fitting choice that Roget decided to propose at a quaint French Bistro<\/em> in the East Village.  Getting down on one knee next to a warm fireplace, he proposed and Bree quickly said, \u201cYes!\u201d It was mid-December and a wonderful beginning to the Holiday season.
\nFrom the outset, the couple decided that a destination wedding surrounded by close family and friends would be the perfect scenario and together the couple worked to make that dream a reality. Because of its beautiful landscapes, historic villas and easy access for family arriving from France<\/strong> and the U.S.<\/strong>, Italy<\/a> was chosen as the destination. Roget and Bree wanted the location to be both historic and on the water.<\/p>\n

The wedding was divided into two days: a civil ceremony<\/a> on the first day with a symbolic ceremony taking place the day after.
\nThe civil ceremony was officiated in the town hall of Gardone Sopra<\/a>, followed by a walk through the village and an intimate lunch at an incredible trattoria<\/em> in the town center. Casual in nature, the guests began to settle in and prepare for the next day\u2019s more grandiose ceremony.<\/p>\n

A magic atmosphere for the ceremony at Isola del Garda<\/h3>\n

The symbolic ceremony was a fairy tale and one of those rare moments where everything goes perfectly.
\nRain had been forecasted for the big day, but in a turn of great fortune, the sun rose giving way to a beautiful, clear blue sky. The groom and guests were taken by boat to the ceremony\u2019s location, Isola del Garda<\/a>, a magnificent villa on a private island in the center of the lake. As the guests approached by boat, jaws dropped at the stunning beauty of the scene.
\nThe Bride and her father were brought separately by speed boat and from the elevated Loggia<\/em> of the villa, the guests watched while being serenaded by a harpist and violinist as the Bride\u2019s boat arrived.  <\/p>\n

Overlooking the lake and surrounded by sunshine and family, the couple exchanged vows and shared in the joy felt by all those present.<\/p>\n

A night party in Gardone Riviera<\/h2>\n

Having incredible food for the reception was of utmost importance to the couple and this Michelin-starred restaurant<\/em> on the lake shore, surpassed all expectations. All of the ingredients were locally sourced and with the arrival of the couple by boat, so began the unending procession of unbelievable hors-d\u2019ouevres underscored by music performed by a local jazz quartet. The fete later moved indoors where a 4-course dinner was served amidst a bevy of red roses. With the wedding cake finale<\/strong>, the newlywed couple was delighted and grateful that their special day unfolded perfectly.<\/p>\n
