\nWe must admit that Lake Orta<\/a> is undoubtedly one of the best spots to have an Elope by the Italian Lakes<\/strong>. The village is very intimate, quaint and romantic. The cobble roads, the medieval buildings, the pedestrian environment, the mystic lake and its St. Julius Island create the perfect frame for a romantic Elope in Italy<\/a>.\u2028<\/p>\n

By definition, elopes are romantic escapes for bride and groom<\/strong> or for a small group of guests<\/strong> traveling with them to celebrate pure love. The formula is easy, stress-free, and focused on the traveling experience and real authentic feelings. In many cases, the ceremonies are legal civil ceremonies or even symbolic ones, and Orta village offers these solutions in the enchanting courtyard of Villa Bossi<\/a>, which we showed many times in our posts.

Getting ready in the heart of Orta Village<\/h2>\n

Samantha and Jon planned their cute Italian wedding on Lake Orta<\/a>, trying to embrace every detail of Lake Orta’s life, and they enjoyed it!\u2028They traveled with a small group of family and friends that surrounded them with love.<\/p>\n

On the wedding day, Samantha got ready in one of the historic hotels in the main center of Orta village. Her room overlooked the main square and the lake’s tiny Island of St Julius<\/a> in the middle. It was like a painting: a terrific spring day to celebrate this marriage.\u2028 Being a Spring wedding, Samantha could choose a romantic lace dress with long sleeves<\/strong> (just in case of chilly evenings!) and a lovely bridal bouquet with roses and peonies. The final touch? A fantastic pair of blue shoes\u2026 you know \u2026something blue!<\/p>\n

The wedding ceremony: a Religious Elope on Lake Orta<\/h2>\n

Once ready, Samantha and Jon’s religious elope in Orta could begin.\u2028
\nSamantha walked up the little slope of the village leading to Maria Assunta’s church<\/a>, where Jon and her intimate group of guests were waiting for her.\u2028 An elopement performed in a church acquires even more intimacy and romanticism! \u2028
\nThe beauty of the church and its frescoes framed perfectly the atmosphere.\u2028
\nThe ceremony was incredibly intimate and sweet, and the sound of a violin accompanied the event. Jon and Samantha are married, and now it is time to celebrate!<\/p>\n

Wedding Photos and toast in Orta Village<\/h2>\n

Orta village<\/strong> is a beautiful and traditional Italian main square where Jon and Samatha had the chance to have a toast with their family and friends<\/strong> to celebrate their religious elope on Lake Orta! So it was time for some prosecco, a few nibbles, group photos, and what happens next?<\/p>\n

St.Julius Island: The Island of Silence and Amazing Wedding Photos<\/h3>\n

MouMou Photography<\/a> was the official photographer of the day. They led Jon and Samantha on St. Julius Island to spend some quality time with them and take amazing photos of their religious elope on Lake Orta!\u2028
\nThe island has a single road looping around it, and a few steps on this cobbled road can open the scenario to amazing shots. The steps, the abbey, the well, and all the buildings on the Islands are perfect for incredible wedding photos, as you can see here.\u2028

Heading to the wedding reception by the Lake Orta shores<\/h3>\n

While Jon and Samantha were taking photos, their guests reached the nearby restaurant by the shores with a fun boat trip ride.\u2028
\nJon and Samantha reached them after their photos to make their grand entrance. Who said that you cannot have a grand entrance during an elope?\u2028
\nJon and Samantha did it for their religious elope on Lake Orta!<\/p>\n

The restaurant terrace was all for their exclusive use to celebrate a fantastic day<\/strong>. Tall centerpieces, a gourmand dinner, moving speeches, and a delicious Italian wedding cake made the day unforgettable.\u2028
\nSamantha had excellent taste, choosing simple but elegant and chic elements to decorate her small wedding. Not because a small wedding should be essential\u2026 on the contrary this was incredibly elegant.
\nThe party ended with some dances but most of all with a great time that all guests will remember forever. <\/p>\n
