This lovely and authentic destination wedding marked the opening of the 2025 wedding season on Lake Orta<\/a> and what a way to begin!<\/p>\n

We organized this romantic micro wedding<\/a> on Lake Orta with love and detail. The day was filled with charm, elegance, and joyful moments, from a lakeside hotel preparation to a romantic boat trip and a candlelit dinner under the stars.

Getting Ready by the Piazza a romantic Hotel overlooking St Julius Island<\/h3>\n

The day began at a charming hotel right on Orta\u2019s main square, Piazza Motta, with wonderful views of the lake, St Julius and village. Hannah got ready surrounded by her bridesmaids, who wore soft light blue bridesmaids dresses that perfectly matched Spring season. Her bouquet, a delicate mix of cream roses and pale blue accents of the hydrangeas, matched the tones of her destination wedding theme: timeless and elegant<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Among the beautiful details such as her shoes and her pretty purse there was a custom charm made exclusively for Italian Lakes Wedding.  It is a preserved flower from Hannah\u2019s bouquet, turned into a keepsake. A Roman Catholic Ceremony in parish church of Orta<\/h2>\n

We planned the wedding ceremony amazing Church of Santa Maria Assunta<\/strong>. It is nestled in the upper part of Orta village. With its golden baroque interiors, the setting was intimate and majestic.
\nThe aisle was lined with white gypsophila and soft green foliage little bouquets on the pews, and then a triumph of same flowers to decorate the marble balusters of the church. \u2028Hannah walked up the cobbled path with emotion and grace with her father and bridesmaids.
\nOnce up the hill she walked down the aisle of the Maria Assunta church welcomed by Ashley and their small group of guests who had traveled from UK<\/strong> for this unforgettable relaxed wedding on Lake Orta.<\/p>\n

A Toast to Love in the Main Square and a Boat trip to St Julius Island<\/h3>\n

After the ceremony, everyone gathered for an Italian aperitivo<\/em> at a romantic hotel in the center of Orta, the same where Hannah got ready with her bridesmaids and where most of the guests stayed for their Italian days. Italian prosecco, local canap\u00e9s and joyful conversation filled the terrace.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the bride and groom escaped for a private boat ride<\/strong> to the Island of San Giulio<\/strong>. The island a tiny jewel in the lake just in front of the village. Here, surrounded by ancient stone paths and peaceful waters, Independent Pictures captured some of the most romantic portraits of the day.<\/p>\n

Before that the photographer did not miss the occasion to take some photos in the main square too by the boats jetty. The bride\u2019s veil floating in the breeze, reflections of the couple in the lake, and the golden light of May creating perfect memories.<\/p>\n

A Lakeside Wedding Reception and Party<\/h2>\n

While the couple explored the island taking amazing wedding photos, guests travelled by boat to the nearby Ustaria Ca dal Rat<\/strong>. A boat ride could be a wonderful way to transfer your guests as it is more than a simple trip: it is a real experience. <\/p>\n

Watching he beauty of the location from the waters is always a pleasant surprise for all. Our beloved lakeside restaurant is located just minutes from Orta village. With its rustic elegance and stunning views over St Julius Island, it was the perfect venue for a relaxed wedding on Lake Orta.\u2028
\nA little later Hannah and Ashley joined the group and enjoyed the aperitif with their guests.\u2028
\nA grand entrance by boat is always of great impact!<\/p>\n

The wedding reception was set with a long royal table adorned with a gypsophila runner, soft candlelight, and natural linen accents<\/strong>. It was the perfect set up for a micro wedding enjoying the terrace of the restaurant at its best. It was a simple yet stunning table that blended perfectly with the lakeside setting. The wedding dinner was served al fresco<\/em>, with regional wines and a menu that celebrated the best of Piedmont and Lake\u2019s cuisine.<\/p>\n

A Night to Remember – A Relaxed Wedding on Lake Orta<\/h2>\n

After the wedding reception it was time to cut bride and groom\u2019s beautiful blue-themed Italian wedding cake<\/strong>, followed by the first dance and a full dance party under the stars with a live DJ set that kept the party going late into the night.<\/p>\n

The laughter, the clinking of glasses, the music echoing across the lake: it was everything a destination wedding on the Italian Lakes should be: elegant but easygoing, intimate yet unforgettable. The transfer back to Orta under the stars brought this magical day to a perfect close.<\/p>\n
