We are back to Orta Beach Club the new, fresh informal wedding venue on Lake Orta.
We are sure you remember that we introduced it few month ago in summer right after its inauguration: ORTA BEACH CLUB… a dreamy frame for your wedding by the shores.
Many among the images posted come from the wedding of a lovely couple coming from Milan: Laura and Andrea.
Today we would love see some more details of Laura and Andrea’s wedding on Lake Orta.

First of all we need to explain the title for this post!
It was a bet because Laura and Andrea booked Orta Beach Club before its inauguration with all the risks you could imagine.
It was a winning bet because it turned out in a great choice from every point of view!
Let’s go step by step!

Laura and Andrea come from Peschiera Borromeo a small village close to Milan. It is famous for its WWF natural park.
Many years ago it was the hunting reserve of Borromeo Counts, the same noble family of Borromeo Islands and Stresa.

For their civil ceremony Laura and Andrea had a look to many venues around Milan and lakes but nothing was more beautiful than Villa Bossi!
They fell in love with it! Continue Reading »

If you travel along the North shore of beautiful lake Bracciano , you will find the lovely little village of Trevignano, a medieval picturesque town, few km North of Rome, which is a real pearl of the lake.

Built on a volcanic lava cliff drop, the village is located on a little gulf, the secondary crater of an ancient volcano.
The medieval Borgo, is well preserved and the beautiful tree-lined promenade that stretches for about 3 miles, with many bars, restaurants and beach resorts, are the perfect setting for a relaxing italian summer vacation and above all for a romantic Italian wedding.

If you are thinking of a civil marriage, it can be celebrated in the beautiful town hall located in the main piazza, right in front of the lake.
The hall is richly decorated with beautiful frescoes and from the window of the ancient palazzo, you may admire the amazing landscape of the lake.

On the other hand, the catholic ceremony can be held in the old Assunta Church built on the ruins of a gothic building that towards the end of the eighteen century it was completely rebuilt in baroque style.

Laura and Lionel got married last Saturday in Pallanza.
Here we are telling you about their unforgettable wedding on Lake Maggiore!

We are not often able to tell you about a wedding with all set of beautiful pictures few days after the event. We usually post a Just Married post following a real post telling about the full event.
This time we wanted to do something different, thanks to the great job of Enrico Mocci by ArteFotoArona that in only few days was able to give us the entire photo set.
In this post we selected for you the most beautiful shots.
Candid images full of emotions as always in Enrico Mocci works (like famous Daniel and Tessa Miss Holland for Miss Universe reportage).

Laura and Lionel chose Lake Maggiore for their wedding in Italy. They opted for lake shores in Pallanza.
The catholic ceremony was held in Church of San Leonardo and the reception to follow in elegant Grand Hotel Majestic.

Laura and Lionel come from Luxembourg, they are in love, sweet and very friendly. It was a pleasure working with them!

As floral designer, I’ve been contacted by Lionel more than one year ago.
Since the very beginning bride and groom had very clear ideas on their wedding.
They opted for white as main color for floral decorations and wonderful Avalanche Roses acting as main characters!

Laura and Lionel’s Big Day was on 20th of August.
With the bride and groom there were three sweet flower girls….have a look at them…aren’t they lovely?
Their little bouquets matched perfectly bride’s one with but with some little leaves of Cineraria Marittima in light gray to match their dresses too. Continue Reading »

Imagine a romantic restaurant on the shores of Lake Orta, in the green, in a relaxing area far from tourists.
Imagine a lunch or a dinner under a lovely portico and a garden that goes down to the lake.
Think about a simple and genuine cuisine close to traditions but elaborated with creativity.
All this has a name: Ustaria Cà dal Rat.

Ustaria Cà dal Rat is a unique wedding venue in the area of Lake Orta and Lake Maggiore. It is a building of 1900. Ground floor has been turned in a lovely restaurant by the lake shores and in a total natural context.

These are the main features of Ustaria Cà dal Rat: its position on the lake shores, with a perfect portico for a lovely reception and the possibility to be far from tourists in the village and on St. Julius Island especially in Summer.
This means having a relaxing day by the shores with dances and music until late.

As alternative, Ustaria Ca dal Rat offers two pretty and intimate rooms inside.
The first one with fireplace can host up to 30 guests and the second with stone floor and wooden beams on the ceiling can host up to 25 people.
Both rooms face the lake to enjoy this wonderful spot of Lake Orta. Continue Reading »

There is a special corner close to Stresa the pearl of the Lake, a wonderful luxury hotel just on the lake shore with gorgeous gardens and wonderful scenarios for a magic wedding.
And this is the place Darren and Leanne loved when they visit Lake Maggiore one year ago when they came over to find the perfect venue on this spot of Italy: the Grand Hotel Dino in Baveno.

Darren’s words are fixed in my mind “One hour by plane, few minutes on the motor-way and you reach Paradise on Earth!”
How could I describe better a place like this?

Leanne and Darren come from Ireland and the choose Lake Maggiore for their destination wedding. We explored several venues but as soon as they reached Hotel Dino they simply fell in love with the venue and pleasant atmosphere you breath inside.

They really wanted a symbolic blessing in the grounds of the hotel. Their day was blessed with a wonderful sun and mild temperature and their dreams came true.
The blessing was set in the smaller and more private garden of the hotel. Continue Reading »
