Getting ready for a magic wedding on Lake Trasimeno
Melanie, our bride, bridesmaid and her mother were all involved in getting ready for the moment!
All looked like really relaxed, but electricity was almost tangible. The atmosphere was like a beauty salon not only for the flower-scented air, but also because the room was the widest and most beautiful of the villa its amazing frescos on the ceiling. Melanie sat in front of the mirror while her friends were taking care of her make-up, hair and wedding dress. I cannot say who was more excited… if the bride silently seated or all the girls speaking loudly close to her!
Jack, our groom seemed instead to be more at ease or this is what he wanted to look like… having fun with is friends and playing with the photographer, too.
IT’S TIME FOR THE WEDDING CEREMONY!
The moment of the celebration was just around the corner and all the spouses’ family and friends arrived the church of Madonnino in the small city of Sbarra (near Panicale, close to lovely city of Perugia). There were flowers everywhere in purple shades respecting the color scheme Melanie wanted for the wedding.
A delicious scent of lavender filled the room.
Bridesmaids were waiting at the altar on the right, in their wonderful purple bridesmaid dresses, carrying a white bouquet. Groomsmen were on the left, waiting in their elegant dark suits. Jack was ready in front of the altar wearing an elegant grey suit with with a purple tie and a perfumed flower as buttonhole.
When the bride made her appearance at the other end of the aisle, a bright morning light illuminated her white bridal gown and delicate purple garnishments she had on it. She was just stunning!
The ceremony was really touching and fortunately, bridal make-up resisted all the bride’s tears of emotion! Eventually, a long kiss celebrated their union!
Outside the church, at the exit of bride and groom, a deluge of confetti and streamers covered the couple. The party began with a small toast offered by a local bartender as a sign of friendship with Melanie’s family. All photos rose to the occasion!
A OLIVE-THEMED RECEPTION ON LAKE TRASIMENO
The natural frame of Lake Trasimeno helped to make each memory really vivid.After the ceremony, all guests got back to the villa where everything was ready for the wedding reception to begin. While a guitarist and a violinist welcomed the guests, bride and groom took advantage of the charming hamlet to take some wedding photos.
Table decorations were simple recalling the leafy Tuscan countryside. Moreover Melanie expressly wanted every table to be named by Italian destinations Melanie she cared for.
Color scheme Melanie wanted for the dinner was white and emerald green as the small olive branches held within each napkin. Isn’t it a great idea?
Lanterns with white candles inside spread all over the gardens of the villa created the right atmosphere during the party and afterwards, while the guests were enjoying a warm night breeze.
A lovely speech made by bride and groom and the throwing of bridal bouquet closed the dinner and let the party begin!
On of the main room of the villa was arranged to like a real disco and everybody started to dance and have fun!
A great way to close an emotional but relaxed and smooth day on Lake Trasimeno!
