Italian Lakes Wedding Planner

Cindy und Christian haben mich um die Organisation Ihrer katholischen Trauung am Lago Maggiore gebeten. Verliebt hatten Sie sich schon in die Location Villa Margherita in Oggebbio. Mein Vorschlag war die romanische Kirche S. Agata in Novaglio, eine von der Gemeinde restaurierte romanische Kirche, an welcher der dortige Pfarrer sehr viel selbst mitgewirkt hatte und deshalb besonders stolz auf dieses kleine Juwel ist. Innen ist alles in hellem Granit-Stein erbaut.

Mit dem Pfarrer gemeinsam wurde eine wirklich rührselige Zeremonie ausgearbeitet. Aber besonders individuell war das Trompetenspiel von Cindys Vater und am Schluss trug dann ein guter Freund der Familie auch noch ein italienisches Lied in Opernmanier vor.

Vor der Kirche befindet sich ein geräumiger Terrassenplatz, sodass dies ein geeigneter Ort für einen Umtrunk ist. Cindys Eltern hatten einen speziellen Champagner aus ihrer Heimat Luxemburg mitgebracht.
Nach ausreichendem Genuss, vor allem aber auch der wunderschönen Blicke über den gesamten Lago Maggiore fuhren wir zurück zur Villa Margherita und wurden dort mit einem Welcome-Cocktail in deren Terrassengärten empfangen. Gefolgt von einem servierten Hochzeitsdinner im Garten.

Cat and Reza… Just like Janet and Ian!
Do you remember about Janet and Ian? It was the first of a long series of weddings planned by Italian Lakes Wedding team at VILLA D’ESTE, the amazing and vip location in Cernobbio, on Lake Como.
On the footsteps of Janet and Ian, today we would love to show you another dream wedding set in this impressive jet set’s favourite destination on Como Lake.

Cat is Russian and Reza is Persian and they live together in London.
Some time ago, visiting Italian Lakes Wedding pages, they were so fascinated by Janet and Ian’s wedding, planned by our team, that they decided that they would love to have a similar incredibly fascinating event.

Talented photographer Carlo Guido Conti was there for them to shoot Cat and Reza’s big day. You surely appreciated his wonderful photo session for Nick and Chris at Villa Rusconi on Lake Maggiore. With regard to this, we anticipate you that we will soon come back on Lake Maggiore together with Carlo Conti, this time going till Locarno, in Switzerland, for another amazing wedding, Georg and Kiki’s one.

Cat and Reza got married in a wonderful day of mid September. Bride’s arrival was really fabulous: on a carriage towed by white horses!

As for Janet and Ian, Cat and Reza’s ceremony took place on Villa’s meadow between the lake and the wonderful mosaic staircase that leads to the location’s upper area: a dream setting, made even more romantic by a string quartet playing sweet melodies on the background.

For their ceremony, bride and groom chose an elegant floral arrangement: roses and white lisianthus. For bride’s and bridesmaids’ bouquet, Cat opted for bright colours, with pretty eye-catching little Callas and yellow Cymbidium orchids. Continue Reading »

THE ANCIENT WALLS

The history of Hotel San Rocco starts over 400 years ago. In a few words….this is Villa Pestalozza, the fascinating location in Miasino, on the Orta Lake.
But not only! For the married couple’s first night there is, included in the location’s rent a cosy, pink, ancient suite with a wonderful view on the lake.

Miasino is a little ancient village, situated on the hills just above Orta: it’s one of the little villages who kept better its times past and fascinating soul. Its splendour began in the seventeenth century,
when some wealthy families of Milan arrived here, seeking safety in fight from the Black Death.
A short walk among the tiny cobbed paving streets will get you to the monumental San Rocco church, raised ona dominating height, through the beautiful main square, till the village’s threshold,
towards the lake, where Villa Pestalozza raises.

Für ein Jahr haben wir alles zusammen geplant, Spehanie die Braut, Thomas der Bräutigam und Romana und Britta als Wedding Planner von Creative Wedding – Italian Lakes Wedding team.

Natürlich sollte es ein wunderschöner Tag werden- das wünschen sich wohl alle Bräute !

Nach einem langen Tag, an welchem wir alle möglichen Locations rund um den Comersee besichtigten, fiel die Entscheidung auf die Villa Teodolinda in Laglio, kaum 500m weit von George Clooney entfernt.

Der nächste Schritt war, einen besonders schönen Ort für die standesamtliche Trauung zu finden. Unser Vorschlag war Ossuccio, wo die Trauungen quasi open air unter den historischen Arkaden stattfindet. Und die Vize-Bürgermeisterin hatte alle Ihre Emotionen in den vorzulesenden Gesetzestext gesteckt, sodass Romana als Übersetzerin mit den Tränen kämpfte, als sich Stephanie und Thomas vor 45 Gästen schliessllich das Si zuflüsterten. It was almost 2 years ago that the organization of the wedding of Olesya & Fedor has started. After visiting numerous venues in France and in the most beautiful areas of Italy such as Tuscany, the Ligurian seaside and the Italian Lakes district, the spouses have chosen a charming private villa on lake Garda, in Desenzano. The beauty of the historic villa, the intimate atmosphere, the charming Italian garden and the spectacular position on the lakeshore conquered the heart of Olesya & Fedor for the first view…

Once the location was decided, it could start the teamwork of the Russian and Italian wedding planners. Misha, the head of the Russian wedding planner team, was the creative author of the event, ensuring to respect the Russian traditions very important both for the spouses and the guests. While the Italian team was responsible for the scene, the decorations and the realization of the creative ideas together with our trusted, professional suppliers. After a lot of working hours during the day and night, videoconferences through skype with the spouses, and finally the BIG day has arrived. Actually, it was not just the day itself, but a complete weekend with 3 days program, full of surprises for the guests…

After an exciting and funny treasure hunting in Venice, the wedding party arrived in Desenzano the night before. Followed by a hectic morning with the preparations, the guests arrived In the villa, where a refreshing rich aperitif welcomed them in the loan area, with delicious fingerfood and lot of champagne to admire the scene on comfortable sofas and pillows. Little white fans were offered to the women, to be able to support better the hot temperature. Soft jazz music gave background to the peaceful moment. Then the special wedding guest ( a tradition in Russia) called the guests to join him in front of the stage, decorated with the romantic white huppah and lively red flowers in huge white glass vases. The part of the coast from Verbania that comes along until the swiss border is certainly one of the most spectacular places of the Lake Maggiore. Some years ago there were forests and terraces with cultivated plants, so at the end of the 18th century this area was attractive for lots of rich families coming from all over Europe. Therefore most wonderful villas were constructed with luxury gardens surrounding them. The mild climate did its part to let all flowers grow easily like Gardenia, Lemon-trees and Bougainvillas. They find an ideal start and do mix with the plants so special for this area which are the Camelies and Rhododendrons. Nowhere else is this special mix of flowers to be found around lake Maggiore.

So in this surrounding we find the Villa Margherita. Its special view on the lake, its beauty and its calmness with its huge garden and a refreshening swimming pool do create the special atmosphere of Villa Margherita.

The villa is situated in the hills above Oggebbio, near Verbania, just some k´s from Ascona and Locarno and only 90 k´s from the international airport Milan Malpensa.
