Joanne and Justin are a sweet couple coming from South Wales, UK.
For their wedding Joanne and Justin chose wonderful mediterranean landscapes of Lake Garda.

Civil Ceremony was held in one of the lovely rooms of Torri del Benaco Castle while for their reception they opted for Bardolino town.
Bardolino is one of the most quaint villages on Lake Garda. It is famous for their vines yards and of course Bardolino wine a precious red wine.

Ceremony was planned to be on the tower of Torri del Benaco castle but it was held in one of the room because of a little shower.
Right after the ceremony gray clouds went away to let a wonderful sun coming out, like in a fairy tale the sky was simply amazing.

Joanne and Justin had the possibility to have stunning pictures on lakeside promenade and in the ancient little road old Torri del Benaco village.

I really can say that the wedding planner job is never boring.
One of the things I really adore the most is discovering the best locations where organizing our beloved special and unique events.
Lake Garda is very vast and plenty of Hotels and reception venues, but this Lake is always interesting and ‘in ferment’.

One of the most famous area is Gardone Riviera where tourists come from all over the world to visit Il Vittoriale (ancient complex of houses, museums, gardens and theaters built from Gabriele D’Annunzio, who lived there, together with the architect Maroni) and the fascinating surroundings.
Gardone Riviera is located on the west side of Garda Lake and close to the well-known Salo’ Town. This small lovely village is one of the few where both civil and religious ceremonies can be celebrated.
In fact, the general rule of Lake Garda Churches is that non – resident couples aren’t allowed to get married here.
So this place has a huge privilege. Its Church is romantic and lake view and its Town Hall located in the center is also charming and classy: can hosts up to 70 guests.

Lake Garda is the largest Italian lake, so large as to seem a sea. One of the advertising slogan says, The Lake Garda, more than a sea. The Garda in fact, more than the other lakes of northern Italy, has a “marine”connotation and a vocation. Where for marine is intended the atmosphere created by the presence of beautiful equipped beaches, the endless opportunities to play sports, the good food and the many facilities for young people. In particular, good food can count on excellent local produce: delicious olive oil, fresh-water fish, citrus fruits, vegetables and wine.

At the northern end of this “small sea”, where the Garda ends and just beyond to the Brenta Dolomites, lies the picturesque town of Riva del Garda. Its mild Mediterranean climate, its beautiful sunny beaches and its beautiful old town of Riva del Garda have made an internationally known tourist destination since the late nineteenth century. From the harbour, which overlooks the square and the tower Apponale, develops the medieval part of town with its narrow cobbled streets lined with boutiques and cafes, Venetian palaces, arcades and octagonal Baroque church.
Not far away is the Scaligera Fortress, a castle on the lake surrounded by a canal with a drawbridge.

Not every time bride and groom are coming with a full group of guests, sometimes they seem to escape the big festivities and have just a very small and intimate wedding. So it happened end of this September at lake Garda.

Kerstin and Wolfgang came from Düsseldorf and wished to get married at Bardolino. Why especially Bardolino and not any other village around Lake Garda? They had often been to this place and hat lots of wonderful memories, so they wanted to relighten all this nice thoughts from the former years of their life together.

Kerstin, the bride came up with a very special colour for her flowers, it was a dark lilac and shoes and bag in gold, so the flowers hat to fit this combination. How perfect the flowers were, so bride and bouquet were shining and the groom had his little buttonhole. Continue Reading »

It’s hard not falling in love with Malcesine Castle and above all, anytime I go there I’m again and again surprised by its beauty and the breathtaking views and landscapes.

September it’s a lovely month for a wedding on Lake Garda: the weather is mild and sunny, and all the guests can really enjoy the outdoor sceneries.

Our lovely bride Hayley and his father decided to reach the Castle by a funny blue Ape Car, sipping a glass of champagne.

The white dress shined under the sun and the groom Chris couldn’t wait to see her arriving!

After a short walk she finally came in the Castle and crossed the terrace at her father arm, accompanied by the Wedding March notes.

Lake Garda is known all over the world for its beauty, but, above all it remains one of the top locations for celebrating a romantic and unforgettable wedding abroad.
This Lake is very big and offers many opportunities to realize the dream of a unique day.
If you’ve always imagined getting married in an ancient castle overlooking a breathtaking lake view, well, Torri del Benaco is the place!

This is a lovely old town, also known as the Olive Riviera, located at the foot of Monte Baldo.

Here, the nature of the surroundings is really impressive and characterized by stunning pine woods, olive groves and lemon orchards.

This incredible place allows the couples to celebrate their civil wedding ceremony directly at the castle located in the center of the town or, in alternative, in the ancient Church of San Giovanni.

The castle, just few meters away from the harbour, was made to defend the city and has three towers, all of which is surrounded by the ruins of the town walls that protected the town of Torri del Benaco.
People of Torri del Benaco are very proud of this monument so well maintained during the centuries and where you still can feel a magic atmosphere.

Torri del Benaco is one of the most appreciated destination weddings of Lake Garda thanks to the romantic frame of the Castello Scaligero and the picturesque little port on the lake. In this fabulous scene that Mercedes and Eugene, a young English couple celebrated its wedding: from the team of Italian Lakes Wedding we were represented by the musicians of the Koinè String Quartet that ensured the perfect musical background of the event with their rich repertoire of classical music.

The wedding of Mercedes and Eugene was celebrated in the shadow of the huge lemon plants of the Limonaia (Lemon Groves) of the Castello Scaligero, one of the last citrus fruit greenhouses still functioning on Lake Garda, since 1760.

Few days ago, we received a kind letter from Don and Jean, lovely parents of Mercedes, saying once again thanks to the team of Italian Lakes Wedding and the Koinè String Quartet for the great success of the event. Here you can read their kind words:
It hardly seems possible that two weeks have passed since we were with you in Italy – and we have so many wonderful memories of that special occasion! We wanted to place on record our sincere thanks to you and the musicians for providing such excellent support and for taking so much trouble to seek out and play the music we requested. It was, in fact, exactly as we had hoped – with the music setting the right atmosphere for each part of the ceremony. We could not have wished for a better service than the one you provided.

Lazise, this small town on the eastern-southern part of the lake has all the rights to be proud of its rich past. From the medieval splendid times although still remains a lot to see also for the nowadays people: the magnificent Castle, with the walls that are containing the historic center with the tiny little streets, a lot of shops and bars. Once you come to Lazise, its feeling takes you…and if your wish is a special romantic wedding in a historical environment, you have just found the right place.

The Palace of the Town Hall – to celebrate your civil wedding – is in the heart of the old city center, just next to the lovely small port, giving a special frame to your forever love promise to each other. Or do you prefer a catholic ceremony? The little roman church of San Nicolò with frescos from the 3rd century is just on the other side of the port, in direct closeness of the central square. The time of traditional weddings, those with long sitting hours and hours seems to arrive to its end. This is also because nowadays the wedding is not only about the couple, but becomes more and more an event, where the bride and groom wants to create a real entertaining day for all the guests.

Obviously, this depends on also about the area and locations you would like to have for your wedding, but in general we can say that the italian lakes are just perfect to a more dynamic wedding, as the lakes offer so much different opportunities, even mixed together. Who told you, that you have to chose your venue and that’s it? It is so difficult to choose amongst all those beautiful sceneries, villas with breathtaking terraces, tiny little bays with a fairytale romantic feeling, splendid castles with a rich history….Now you don’t have to choose just one of the locations, why not to mix them together? The Lake Garda is the second biggest lake of the Italian Lake district after Lake Maggiore. This lake is unique not just because of the size of the territory, but also – and mainly – due to the variety of its characteristic ambient: large beaches exists perfectly together with vineyards and olive branches, and towards the north the hilly scene gives its place to the imposing backgrounds of the high mountains. To this spectacular nature, you can add the ancient art, rustic culture and a bit less known, but not less wonderful villas than those of Lake Como, so you find a perfect mix for a dream ambient to realize your very special wedding event.
The Lake offers really a wide choice of splendid places, but nothing is comparable with its peninsulas.

To give you the feeling of an island, but still remaining on the mainland – which can be an important factor when you organize the logistics of your wedding (!) – the Lake offers you 2 very special peninsulas.

The first one, and most known of them is the ancient town of Sirmione, located on the very south of the lake. This really popular touristic target is an incredible mix of the past and future with all the contrasts one can imagine. The rests of the roman Villa called “Catullo’s Cave” is just one of the signs the rich past left to us. Walking around the historical center, one can feel a growing curiosity inside to discover the tenacious past, that is hidden and present at the same time in the architecture, the decoration of the buildings, the small details of every little street….

But in Sirmione all this can be in a perfect harmony with modern shops, designed bars, inviting restaurants and a complex spa center to pamper your body and relax your mind. To complete the picture and make Sirmione a perfect place for a dream wedding, there is the splendid Palace Hotel Villa Cortine just on the lakeshore with its centenarian park full of rare essences and lively colored flowers.
The old Villa completely renovated with its precious marbles and symbolic frescos gives the opportunity to celebrate a very special wedding with the splendor of the past and the pleasure of the art, with the breathtaking lake view as background. We know very little about the origins of this location, although it is sure that was inhabitated already in the roman’s time.
