Gemma and Adam , two lovely English newlyweds, chose the marvelous village of Malcesine, at Lake Garda, for their wedding. Preparations with a breathtaking view on Malcesine
The beautiful lake view accompanied the bride and groom from their preparations in a lakeside hotel with a breathtaking view of the body of water framed by the villages on the shores and rows of cypress trees. It provided a fantastic backdrop for the fun photos Gemma and the bridesmaids took of each other before donning their wedding dresses and the sage-colored ones chosen for the ceremony. We thought for them and the bride, accompanied by her mother, a memorable ride in two Ape Cars (tuk tuck) to the Castle in the heart of Malcesine.
After a short walk up the hill, the small group made their entrance on the tower of the Castle where Adam, excited, waited for his bride.

The most beautiful place where to swear eternal love
We set the civil ceremony under a small gazebo. As far as the eye could see, lake Garda was surrounded by mountains and overlooked by a blue sky decorated with clouds. It is hard to imagine a more beautiful place than this to swear eternal love. So did Gemma and Adam, who finally crowned their dream within the ancient walls of the Castle, between smiles and excited looks.
Once the wedding celebration was over, the Castle also offered a perfect backdrop for the ritual photos, first with bridesmaids, groomsmen, friends, and relatives, then alone among the battlements of the building, and finally walking along the village’s narrow streets.

The group headed to a typical harbor bar in Malcesine overlooking the lake to enjoy a refreshing aperitif before boarding the sailboat, making the beautiful day on the lake even more special. It was a unique and unforgettable experience for the bride and groom and their guests.
The newlyweds chose a sailboat to let friends and family admire the beauty of Lake Garda: The calm waters, the houses and villas overlooking it, the sky enclosed by mountains was the perfect backdrop for their dream wedding.
It was the ideal way to enjoy the Italian Sun, which accompanied the little group’s tour, and a few bottles of bubbly to continue celebrating on board.
A cheerful and colorful reception in Malesine
Once back on the mainland, it only took a few steps to get to the restaurant near the Castle that would host the evening reception. The theme of the evening was the typical Italian citrus fruits and their bright colors: place cards with lemon-shaped cards, which also decorated the tableau, menus, and limoncello thank you tags, which served as tasty wedding favors.
On the long table that greeted the guests among vine shoots, napkins, and light blue candles to give the evening a touch of elegance and originality.
A decidedly cheerful and colorful reception, which ended – as is tradition – with wild dancing, which involved just about everyone. Including our Lake Garda wedding planners, Veronica and Federica. Who didn’t back down?
