Instruction for use: take Mariana and Matteo’s wedding Get married… and have a good time on Lake Orta, then take Browen and Josh’s wedding… do you remember it?
The young couple who eloped to Lake Orta secretly? Let’s shake… and here we are Rebecca and Marcus’ wedding a perfect mix of romanticism, intimacy and… fun.

Just like Bronwen and Josh, Rebecca and Marcus are coming from Australia too.
They always had a deep love for Italy and they choose it for their wedding!
First they opted for Rome but then Rebecca found out intimate atmosphere of Lake Orta and that was their final choice!

Rebecca and Marcus a love elope for an intimate wedding on Lake Orta!
It was romantic but also fun and you can really feel it from great pictures taken by Maren Ollmann and Piero Ottaviano who perfectly took the spirit of the event!
The photos you can see here speak from themselves but we invite you to have a look to the amazing PHOTO-GALLERY with the entire service this lovely couple of photographers realized for the event.

From a photographic point of view a wedding for two could be difficult. The only characters are bride and groom and nobody else. There is no reception, emotion of the guests, flower girls, bridesmaids and their wonderful dresses and all the typical atmosphere of a wedding.
In spite of that Maren and Piero are able to do a lively photo service where you can see emotion and lot of joy. This is not common at all! Continue Reading »

Thinking about a wedding we can imagine big parties, wonderful dresses and big wedding cakes.
If you are thinking about all this, Helen and Daheun’s wedding could be really out of ordinary!
But in its dimension and semplicity it was one of the loveliest wedding on Lake Orta.
An event full of emotions and symbols which is rare to face nowadays.

It was special also for wedding images: Helen and Daehun chose Luca Rajna – Ajn Luca Rajna Progetti Fotografici – as their photographer. We met him in occasion of Loretta and Scott’s wedding on Lake Maggiore last year. Luca Rajna is a creative and innovative photographer.

For this occasion all images has been edited with a special technique called Polaroid Transfer.
Polaroid is the legendary camera of the 70s which was able to develop pictures immediately.
Polaroid transfer technique is simply pressing a just-shot photo with a Polaroid on watercolor paper. The result is really artistic an vintage with some irregolar shaped edges. Luca Rajna created the same effect for great shots of Helen and Daheun’s wedding. Have a look to PHOTO GALLERY with 70 polaroid transfers photo in it.

Helen was born in Illinois she is optimist and loves nature. She is vegetarian and loves colors and scent of flowers. After her degree to Columbia University in Manhattan she moved to South Corea where met Daehun her groom.
Helen loves South Corea and people there. After the wedding she came back over there where she teach English to elementary school to Siheung City.

Helen wanted to get married and have a lovely honeymoon across Europe. She never been over here.
It was not easy choose the right destination… then browsing on the internet Helen found out Italian Lakes Wedding and decided immediately for Madonna del Sasso church.

This lovely church was built on a rock right above Lake Orta. Madonna del Sasso church is one of the most wanted churches on the lakes and one of the most scenographic in Italy.
The inside of the church is grand, rich of works of art of 1500 and 1600. Continue Reading »

A lot of couples have the same problem: who and how many guests to invite to their wedding: the most important day in their life. The problem becomes even more important if we talk about a destination wedding abroad. Logistics and budget issues may be added to the “to do list” of the wedding preparations.

On 31 May 2010 Judith and Stephen decided to simplify it all and satisfy both their needs: an intimate wedding ceremony with just close family and celebrate it all afterwards with all the other family, friends and colleagues. They simply “split” the event in 2: a little romantic wedding in Italy, and then once back home, have a great party with all.

For their Italian wedding, they chose sunny, tiny little town of Torri del Benaco. In Torri del Benaco you can keep it original genuine despite of the fact that it is very touristy. Coming here, you will find original local cuisine of the many restaurants of the historic centre around the Castle, dominating the town.

Judith and Stephen’s ceremony was held in the Lemon Garden of the Castle under the refreshing shade of some lemon trees. Stephen had some “long minutes” to wait for Judith’s arrival, as she absolutely wanted to stop in the church on the way to the castle to tell a prayer, and ask the blessing of God to her wedding. There are many couples who decide for a very intimate wedding.
If you are looking for a romantic wedding for two you could consider many ideas such cities of art like Rome – as Stefania mentioned in her past post – some exotic beaches or isolated villages.
However if you love lakes but want to keep it private, romantic and unique Lake Orta could be the perfect choice!

Orta is a pretty little village. It is completely pedestrian, medieval, facing quiet lake and it is tiny St. Julius Island.

Best option is a romanic civil ceremony to Villa Bossi. We suggest to opt for a wedd day when narrow roads of Orta village are less crowded and more intimate.
You will discover real Italy here. You can choose to get ready in one of the lovely hotels in Orta overlooking the lake.
Bride could arrive alone with a rowing boat while groom is waiting for her to Villa Bossi. Just like Suzanne and Russell did.

They stayed to Villa Crespi to get ready. Then they had a romantic ceremony to Villa Bossi and after a romantic boat tour on the lake, they landed to the restaurant on St. Julius Island for a cosy dinner for the two of them. Continue Reading »

Nicola and Bryan are a wonderful Irish couple who fell in love with Lake Orta more than a year ago. They decided for an intimate wedding for no more than 25 people on Lake Orta.

Nicola got in her eyes charm and elegance on this pretty romantic lake on Northen Italy and made it hers. She is for sure one of the most elegant bride I had I simply loved her style.
She loved little details as I do too.

First of all have a look to her look.
The hairdo was arranged by Cristina one of the best hairdresser in Orta who spent more than 2 hours with Nicola creating the perfect style on her.

Nicola’s make up was elegant and simple too.
The perfect make up a bride should wear: you can appreciate it but it is not too strong just delicate and fresh. Continue Reading »

After Yvonne and Stephen’s wedding which took place yesterday to Villa Bossi, now its is time for a Russian couple: Valentina and Sergei.
For their wedding on Lake Orta they chose Villa Crespi a wonderful venue built in Moorish style a perfect Thousand and one nights!!!!

Following Valentina’s desires I’ve created a romantic bouquet in pastel shades. It had a round shape and it was made up with turquoise hydangeas and white scented freesias.
Dasvidania Valentina and Sergei!!!

June has arrived and long wedding season on Lake Orta officially begun.
I would like to go back for while speaking about Daniela and Giuseppe our Italian couple who opened wedding season on 6rd of March 2010.
It was the first wedding of 2010 for us as florist but also for Villa Bossi Orta town hall and St. Julius Restaurant the venue the couple chose for their wedding reception.

March is such a perfect day for a romantic wedding in Orta San Giulio. Village is not crowded by tourists yet and enchanted intimacy make it a different world.
Do not forget that March could also have wonderful sunny days!

At first sight it could seem curious but Giuseppe and Daniela live close to Como. But they actually chose Lake Orta.
We would like to let them speak about that:
We chose Lake Orta even if we live close to Como. This because it quiet, romantic and more intimate. Walking in the narrow roads of Orta Village seems to live again ancient times experiencing unique atmospheres. They are just perfect for a wedding. We were more than happy of our choice.
From Como to Orta for a romantic wedding: a simple choice. Continue Reading »

I really can say that the wedding planner job is never boring.
One of the things I really adore the most is discovering the best locations where organizing our beloved special and unique events.
Lake Garda is very vast and plenty of Hotels and reception venues, but this Lake is always interesting and ‘in ferment’.

One of the most famous area is Gardone Riviera where tourists come from all over the world to visit Il Vittoriale (ancient complex of houses, museums, gardens and theaters built from Gabriele D’Annunzio, who lived there, together with the architect Maroni) and the fascinating surroundings.
Gardone Riviera is located on the west side of Garda Lake and close to the well-known Salo’ Town. This small lovely village is one of the few where both civil and religious ceremonies can be celebrated.
In fact, the general rule of Lake Garda Churches is that non – resident couples aren’t allowed to get married here.
So this place has a huge privilege. Its Church is romantic and lake view and its Town Hall located in the center is also charming and classy: can hosts up to 70 guests.

In case your desire is having a personalized and symbolic ceremony, I’m happy to tell you that this can be celebrated directly in the wonderful gardens of the fabulous location I’m going to introduce you today: Grand Hotel Fasano.

This luxurious hotel is immersed in a romantic scenery of water and hills.
Originally, this building was one of the hunting lodges of the Austrian imperial family: the “faisanderie”.
The hotel beauty and lake view is astonishing and completed by a 12.000 sq. meters private park all around. A perfect set for an extremely chic wedding. Continue Reading »

Silvia, the bride. Giorgio, the groom. Angela, their pretty daughter.
They are the main characters of an intimate wedding on Lake Orta.

Silvia and Giorgio both come from Rome.
For their civil ceremony they were looking for a romantic and intimate destination to celebrate this special day. What’s better than Lake Orta?

A wonderful idea. Lake Orta gave to this lovely couple a great Spring day, warm and sunny.
They choose for a week day ceremony so atmosphere was even more intimate and cosy.
During week days village of Orta is very quiet and relaxing with very few tourists.
Very different from week ends on July and August which are much more busy!

As floral designer I had to create bridal bouquet, buttonhole and ceremony floral arrangements.
Enrico Mocci of ArteFotoArona, a wedding photographer specialized on Orta weddings, and with many years of experience, was the photographer of the day.

For their Orta staying Giorgio and Silvia choose the best: Hotel Villa Crespi.
Villa rooms are just enchanting and they were the perfect frame for stunning pictures.
You can see the bride and the bouquet I created for her. It was made of a long and wonderful fall of Phalaenopsis orchids.

Civil ceremony was held to Villa Bossi, Orta San Giulio town hall. Continue Reading »

On the 21st of October 2009, Sandra and John get married at Villa D’Este.
Their story is very romantic and the atmosphere that rainy day brought to their special day was magical and incredibly touching. We were all excited and the time went so fast!

The ceremony was originally organized outdoor, but because of bad weather, it was moved inside the beautiful Column Room.
While Sandra was getting ready, all of us were waiting in the room welcoming the guests and John, the groom.

He reached the altar accompanied by the music of great song La vita è bella.
The florist made an incredible job, we were all astonished…

Finally Sandra appeared, she was beautiful and radiant as John’s son who had the honor to lead her to his father.

Thanks to the great job of our lovely celebrants celebrants Diane and Giuseppe, the whole ceremony was touching and real, and the newlyweds were very happy and surprised!

After the ceremony Sandra, John and their guests had a long walk inside the Hotel to take unforgettable pictures, before coming back to the room for a delicious reception dinner. Continue Reading »
