Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta are located close by Aosta Valley – Chamonix, Courmayeur and Saint Vincent – and 2006 Olympic Valleys – Sestriere, Bardonecchia and Sauze d’Oulx.
Around Lake Como the best destinations are Chavenna and Madonna di Campiglio and around Lake Garda… wonderful Dolomites ski resorts in Val Gardena such as Ortisei and Cortina d’Ampezzo.
But let’s not forget that a city of art could be ideal for a Winter Wedding too. You can choose among Verona, Milan, Venice, Torino or even amazing Rome close to Lake Bracciano.
They came from England to celebrate with friends and relatives their wonderful day on Italian mountains. Chris is English and Aleksandra is a lovely smiling Polish girl.
After an attentive selection they chose Sauze d’Oulx on Alps for their sparkling winter wedding.
There is always something magic and sophisticated in a winter wedding. Sparkling snow, Christmas lights and warm typical atmosphere of Winter season.
Once ready they had a lovely Catholic ceremony in the local mountain church of Sauze d’Oulx that everybody reached walking in the ancient roads of the mountain village.
The ceremony was moving and romantic and after some wedding shots in the snow bride and groom and their guests reached a wonderful Hotel Resort for their wedding reception.
A rich aperitif served in the bar area of the hotel overlooking snow capped Alps and a gourmand Piemonte cuisine dinner in the restaurant of the hotel.
Aleksandra wanted simple decorations for her reception.
Silver and Blue details to match snow and amazing Winter sky and its stars.
What about the party?
A white frosty and sparkling winter themed wedding cake to cut and dances up to late a night with a band a dj.
The hotel has a special disco area that can be used for late parties, what a fun occasion!

Of course getting married in Winter could have some cons but consider all the pros: you could save a little because we are not in peak summer season and Churches will be available, wedding planners, photographers, florists and musicians will be at your complete disposal.
