Lake Maggiore is not far from the famous Lake Como but has a different appeal.
It is more flat and wide, and the Alps and Mt Rose surround it. It is less posh and luxurious but still exquisite and refined. It is the location where the dawns of tourism and leisure started back in 1800 when nobles and bourgeoisie planned their Grand Tour.
Only some wedding venues are located directly on the shores. Some have breathtaking views, and some have enchanting interiors, but the few venues that lie on the waters are indeed magic.
Villa Rusconi Clerici is one of those, and it is the venue that Mariya and Christian chose for their wedding on Lake Maggiore shores.
Getting ready in one of the bedrooms of Villa Rusconi Clerici
Maryia took the occasion to enjoy her getting prepared moments with her bridesmaids in one of the villa’s bedrooms. The little balcony faces Lake Maggiore’s view and Borromeo Island, plus a complete view of the property’s gardens. It is a fantastic backdrop for fun moments with the girls and prepares the mood for the big day.
On the other hand, the groom, Christian, and all the guests got ready in Stresa, located a few minutes’ boat from the villa.
They sailed across the Lake to reach the villa for the ceremony that was about to start.
The Ceremony – Wedding on Lake Maggiore Shores
Villa Rusconi Clerici has a fantastic side garden where we usually plan romantic wedding ceremonies, and this is where Maryia and Christian tie the knot. Our fabulous wedding celebrant, Rossana, tailored and conducted a moving ceremony for our bride and groom. Some musicians accompanied the moment with lovely notes of contemporary love songs.
Once ready, Maryia exited the villa’s stunning rooms and crossed the gardens to reach the ceremony spot. Her beautiful bridesmaids escorted her. She was terrific with her off-white wedding dress and matching pastel colors bridal bouquet. A special note to the groom, who wore a chic summer white tuxedo! Everything was perfect for a unique wedding on Lake Maggiore shores.
Aperitif and sunset by Lake Maggiore shores – Villa Rusconi Clerici
After the moving ceremony, it was time to enjoy a gourmet aperitif that our skilled caterer had prepared for all the guests. All guests, including our bride and groom, tasted all kinds of Italian delicacies while enjoying the warm wedding atmosphere on Lake Maggiore shores.
We were in summer, so the day was long, but they still had the chance to enjoy an incredible sunset on the Lake.
Mariya and Christian also spent time alone and took some great wedding photos. The David Bastianoni Team followed them all day, and you can see the magic result here.
A refined wedding dinner in the gardens of Villa Rusconi Clerici
Villa Rusconi Clerici has a beautiful pavilion that looks like a natural greenhouse where we plan the most enchanting wedding receptions on Lake Maggiore.
We are under the cover of fairy lights, chandeliers, and drapes, but we seem to be outdoors, eating under the stars and by nature. It is the real essence of a wedding on Lake Maggiore shores.
Romantic pastel colors and floral decorations topped all tables, creating a romantic and chic atmosphere. Candles Light did the rest!
A grand live rock-pop band played all night to make everybody have fun and dance. They also crowned the atmosphere by cutting the lovely wedding cake with fireworks and putting a giant LOVE sign at the back of the bride and groom—an absolute dream of a wedding on Lake Maggiore shores.
The party continued on the dance floor inside the villa with a super DJ set that made all dance up to early morning.
The shores of Lake Maggiore can let you enjoy the real essence of a chic wedding in Italy with a magic backdrop, authentic Italian atmosphere, and lots of fun, just like Mariya and Christian and their guests had!
