BAGPIPES ON THE DOCK!
In the early afternoon, basking the warmth of late summer sunshine, Steven and his guests left beautiful town of Sirmione on a motorboat. And what a surprise! Extraordinary piper Guy Curtois, fully kitted out in Scottish regalia welcome them with the sound of his bagpipe. This special moment marked the start of a real Scottish wedding on the shores of Lake Garda. Like a true pied piper, Guy lead the guests towards the castle for the wedding ceremony. All men wore their traditional kilts with colours of their own clan.
…AND THE WHOLE TOWN WELCOMES THE BRIDE
While Steven and all guests were waiting for the bride at the castle, Sharon got on another another boat. She was smiling and very excited. She was accompanied by her brother and her bridesmaids wearing lovely aquamarine dresses. Once they reached the dock, piper welcomed Sharon and her wee entourage. They all cought the attention and curiosity of local people, who eventually became part of the welcome party at the castle gate. Torri del Benaco people appreciated Scotland in their own streets for a day!
AN EMOTIONAL CEREMONY AMONG LEMON GROVES
Under a wonderful and scented citrus grove, Steven’s friends and colleagues with their own band, underscored the arrival of the bride with her favourite song. And what a ceremony! Steven’s emotions was under control thanks to constant support of his closest friends, right up until the exchanging of the rings. Then newlyweds kissed framed by an amazing tall lemon trees! The bagpipes from the castle tower announced the marriage, the music spread all over through countryside and across the lake. May the party begin!
…AND THE CEILIDH BEGINS!
At the castle gates a real Scottish wedding party exploded into the little lakeside village on Lake Garda, bagpiper kept on playing for them. Happy couple and their guests started to dance surprising and delighting local people. It was really impossible not to be involved in this wonderful street ceilidh of traditional Scottish dancing!
DINNER WITH A VIEW
At sunset a breathtaking view over the lake was the ideal setting for Sharon and Steven reception! All group enjoyed an exquisite wedding reception served among beautiful floral decorations of lemon and rosemary.
Top table was beautifully decorated with white and yellow blooms, rosemary and lemons with aquamarine ribbons. It was placed in perfect position to give newlyweds and bridal party a perfect view of the lakeside veranda and all guests.
Every names card/placeholder was decorated with a lemon and guests’ names A little touch of colour aquamarine shade was just a perfect accent. Sharon wanted all the decorations in yellow and aquamarine colour to complement lemon groves and lake waters, unforgettable elements for such a special day.
